I do have an after market FMIC, Mishimoto. Also using MHD Stage 1+. May be the tune increased boost slightly.

Yep, that's why it blew up.

You need an aluminum charge pipe when you add an after mkt FMIC.

Adding MHD only magnified the problem by adding even more HP than the added 20 HP you got from the Mishimoto FMIC.

Your probably are running 350HP or more.

Adding the MHD & the mishimoto considerably increased the amount of airflow to the intake manifold.

Finally had a chance to snap some pics. My recent mods include:

LED-Style tail light assemblies
Shadowline trim over window chrome
Bilstein B12 Pro-Kit (still settling)
M-Tech Front Bumper

Also, I recently switched to LubriMoly 5w30 from Mobil1 5w30 Syn and couldn't be happier.

Cleaned both Vanos solenoids on my beast.

Got rid of the yellow halogen high beam bulbs and replaced with nice ultra white 6k's.

Replaced yellow halogen fog lights with matching 6k ultra white bulbs.

Started Angel Eye's LED's however 1 of them burned out in the process unsure why.... Will come back to re-do.

Started the M3 spec lower control arms kit, however couldn't undo the bolt on the left side and broke a torx bit in the process o.0 There has to be a specific way to get these suckers off and I missed the how-to....

Had my transmission fluid and filter changed last week at Peter Schmid MZF Transmission in Burlingame. Wolfgang was very helpful. Today I had Andrew walnut shell blast the N54 at Supreme Power. Excellent service at both places.

real tired of the CCM fan making noise after only a week of ownership. Something must be done to silence that bastard.

pull the CCM and split it

jerk the cuplrit from the PCB
2017-06-06_12-06-16 by nsjames805, on Flickr

carefully and gently pry it out evenly so you don't break the little popsts that hold it together

put a single drop of light machine oil in it's bushing. I used RC car bearing oil cause I had it, and it has a needle applicator.

well hello.

you know that's how I roll.
My CCC navi DVD drive is wonky too, so that will get a new laser unit soon. maybe not before I drive to oregon though

I mean, I have had it for 8 days, so that's kind of a record for me on disassembling it.
