Just wanted to make a post about an issue I am having with jpurvis08. I purchased his OEM spoiler from this thread a couple weeks back: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=487361
I understood it would take a little time to get it removed and shipped and was patient and in no rush. I received the spoiler on Friday to find that prior to unpacking the product that each corner of the spoiler was poking through the bubble wrap. Upon inspection, the corners were both damaged with one corner missing a chunk of the spoiler itself. The other corner was missing paint. I stopped there and didn't unwrap any further. I sent him the following message on Friday night: "Bad news bud. I received the package when I just got home and it's damaged due to insufficient protection on each of the corners. One of the corners has paint missing and a piece of the corner missing. The other just hast paint missing. Either way, it'll take a paint job and someone to fill in the missing piece that is now broken off (and gone). Here are a couple pics. The second pic is blurry, but shows that it's not the shape it's supposed to be (the corner is broken off and gone). Please refund me for the spoiler and let me know how you want me to get it back to you. Sincerely, Ryan" He was on several times on Saturday, but did not get a response. I sent him a message Sunday: "Im confused why you aren't responding to my pm. Please refund the payment and let me know how to get it back to you." He then responded: "hey man, I understand why your upset bout it, but the spoiler was in perfect condition when it left my hands. I had it wrapped with two rolls of bubble wrap and i put extra on the corners. The UPS store that i dropped it off at said it would be enough not to get damaged. It already cost me $14 dollars to ship it out to you and I only got $112 from you via paypal. It is an OEM spoiler not a replica and its already painted silver, so after shipping cost i ended up getting about $99 for it. New from BMW it would cost easy over $300 without paint." I responsed shortly after: "I understand and am sorry, but they were obviously wrong. I paid for a spoiler that was in perfect condition and got one that wasn't. How is it fair to me to just deal with it? My suggestion is for you to file a claim with ups as claims have to bemade by the shipper. In the meantime, id like a refund so that I can order a spoiler in perfect condition." The fact is, I paid for a "excellent condition with no blemishes or scratches" and received a product that was not in excellent condition and had blemishes/scratches. |

That sucks. Hope you guys get it figured out, but from my personal opinion bubble wrap is cheap plastic that tears easily and this could have been easily been prevented with some cardboard at the ends...common sense I would think? It's pretty easy to just cut up some cardboard and wrap it around all that bubblewrap. Not sure what the merit of the whole "this is OEM and it would cost over $300" comment was about though.
Hope you paid insurance, but IMO it wasn't packaged properly, it's seller + UPS problem not the buyer's fault. Hope you guys get it settled...

Appreciate the feedback. I wasn't asked whether or not I wanted to purchase insurance, but always cover insurance when shipping. Either way, UPS provides the first $100 of insurance for free, so believe he can try to sort that out with UPS. They will typically just tell you it wasn't packed well enough IMO.

Which in this case...they kind of have a point. Hell you could have duct taped the entire thing and it would have held up better. A pointy end is going to go through bubble wrap easily...it needs reinforcement...

Installed it last night. I had the UR w/ HKS BOV before...the HKS has a higher pitch. Honestly haven't decided which one I like better. I more or less got it b/c of the meth bungs since I might get the vishnu meth kit once it comes out...supposed to be able to install within like 20 minutes, and is all in the engine bay.
Other reason I got it was b/c I might get the Stett CAI and wanted to make sure the CAI + CP/BOV would fit together. Good quality CP though that's for sure. You had some vacuum lines in the box that I'm not sure what are for. What was the T connector for? I just connected the vacuum hose on my HKS and plugged it into the TIAL, figured it should be the same?

Anyone have any extra ATT phones lying around that they would sell for cheap? Need one for my dad...the more basic the better.
