![]() So I'd buy 'em cheap, clean 'em up and sell 'em on, sometimes for up to $1k profit. Everyone who knows me, knows I love Meisters (I've had about 6 sets) but I actually prefer SSR's due to the flatter 5 spoke design - and I've only had 1 or 2 sets prior. I also didn't want the same wheels as naynay because I hate people who copy others and I'm sure he'd feel the same way. These fronts are also from Japan - Yahoo Auctions. I paid $701 landed to my door for 5x120 19" SSR SP1's in mint condition with very very light gutter rash on one rim. Bargain. Wish i could find a set of rears in 5x120 too and I'd just re-barrel them to the specs I want! These are 19x 8.5+30 on a SL disc. Should clear with enough room for a BBK later on. The rears I have ordered new through Leo @ JDMConcept as naynay has pointed out. I'm almost certain to pay this week for them with the usual 10-12wk lead time. Looking at going 19x10.5 +43 (with SL discs in the rear also) as I want to run a decent sized tyre because I intend on upping my HP to circa 500whp+ shortly - once I come back from my USA trip in May. Still confirming 10.5 +43 is going to be right as I want as much width as possible for traction. The pricey Yokohama 295's I currently have break traction in 2nd often and even 3rd, so I definitely want a good sized, good quality tyre in the rears. |

will definitely be worth the wait!
I know a couple of guys here are running 11s without too many issues, running stretched tyres though which is not the look you are going for.. What other mods are done to your car to break traction on 295s? sounds like a beast! |

Yahoo Auctions Japan.
Unless you mean my importer? I used to use Jesse Streeter way back before Jesse Streeter was even Jesse Streeter lol. Back when he used to mail everything to me for a 5% cover charge, but those days are long gone and we had a falling out. I've used Thuy from J-Imports in the past as you can always negotiate with him, but I don't think he is bring in containers anymore, so this time around I went with ImportMonster who I bought a set of Meisters off a few years ago for my own car (black Meisters on the S2k in my sig pic actually). There's a guy on the Gold Coast I know who charges nothing but a carton of beer or a nice bottle of bourbon, but I'm not sure if he's still importing stuff or not - and these fronts were cheap enough @ $701 landed I didn't really care. I don't mind a little bit of stretch, to get the curve of the tyre to slip under the guards justtttttt right. I'm hoping to run something along the lines of a 285/40 over the 10.5 rear - but this is still to be determined. |

So I always warn everyone these days. I would have probably spent over 10k using him for importing stuff. No loyalty. I got him back tho. ![]() ![]() hahaha nah. I don't do it anymore. Wheel prices have crashed, and everyone just buys fake shit these days to save a few bucks - not worth the time. |

Doesn't handle any worse than before. It rides only slightly more bumpier when at stock height and even softer when lowered. I don't thrash my car on the street especially around corners so I honestly won't ever be able to compare for you as I never tracked the stock suspension.
The turn in is about the same, within legal speeds 95km/h bends car holds to the road as you'd expect, though I'm running really shitty Korean tyres for the time being until until my PSS come in. I would like to track my car at some point and I know a convertible with bags is probably literally the worst combination to take to the track, but that isn't gonna stop me. I got the bags cause I love the look of lowered cars but despise the idea of scraping everywhere. My driveway is a steep hill with a dip on entry. Even on stock height it sometimes scraped. This was the only option Is saw fit for my needs. The struts I got are from Airlift Performance and were meant specifically for this car, not some dodgy universal bag over strut setup like others. They track their cars for R&D and some sweet videos of their cars drifting on a track. |

Can someone enlighten me as to what specifically goes in the boot tool kit?
I went to swap my wheels on to be 100% sure the SL discs clear the calipers.... but I don't have a fuckin tool kit. 1. Does anyone have one they want to sell? 2. Can you take a photo of your boot so I kno exactly what is supposed to be in there? Thx! ![]() |

Uhh mine has tools above the battery compartment if you're looking for the lock nut.
Under that floor I've got a 12v air compressor, a bottle of tire repair slime. I also put in a fire extinguisher, some towels for working on the ground, the luggage care net and some jumper leads. |
