anyone get anything for their cars this holiday season? I got monroe rear strut mounts, oem front strut mount, auto zf fluid filter kit, xenon bulb, oil change, lots of maintenance really... sanded and screwed up, painted, polished, waxed the headlights, sanded also screwed up, painted a bird doodoo burn mark on the trunk, polished, waxed. thinking about getting swift springs 4 corners but duno what else is necessary to install them, like spring perch or friction plates, or what the length or inner diameter should be. maybe m3 front control arms, but concerned about the camber screwing with the strut mounts or strut towers.

attached. you can see there's a brighter spot on the trunk, which is sanded down to the black base coat under the metallic flakes, and the headlight with those cloudy bits because I didn't bother to sand all of it off.

Anyone know any local coders in the Peninsula/SF?

Need to get rid of the "Tail Light Malfunction" lights after throwing LCI's on. I personally don't mind it but getting ready to sell the car.

Thanks,

Anyone of you pretty savy with repairs? I'd need to replace my Eccentric Shaft Sensor & Fuel Pump Module and would like to do it myself, but would like a "spotter." I can pay you for your time too.

Any good shops in the east bay? I'm new to the Bay and new to E90s as well. Just picked up this 335i Xdrive and could use some help/advice. Also if anyone has any Style 284s I'll take'em off your hands.

New member here located in the South Bay and coming from a Honda world so be easy on me if I ask dumb questions or use the wrong terminology here and there.

I purchased a Titanium Silver 09 335i Sedan with 60k miles on her about 2 weeks ago and fell in love with the car immediately. The car was essentially flawless with a minor pit on the hood from a rock I'm assuming but had everything I wanted including the sports package.

Previous cars I've owned and lightly modified include, 2x 93 Integra, 97 Integra, 00 Civic, 03 TL Type S, and an 09 TSX.

With this car so far I've just done the golf tee mod, few changes with the BMWhat/Carly, and installed JB4 G5 but boy what a difference that makes. Also have DCI's on order as well while I'm dwindling down the list for the FMIC and DP's I'll be purchasing this February after a walnut blasting/cleaning and replacing my valve cover gasket which has a small leak in #3. Not going to do a whole lot more after that since this is my DD although I admin I have mild interest in the PE mod as well as several other 'upgrades' such as Injectors, Coils, DV, CP replacements among other 'preventative' maintenance.

Hope you folks are having a great New Year thus far and I look forward to meeting/working/chatting with you folks!

Picked up an E90 a couple weeks ago and Love it. Ordered VMR v718s yesterday. picked up some new tires today to wrap them in when they arrive sometime this week, I can't wait!

I was wondering if anybody meets now and again in the eastbay or South Sf area? I live in the east bay and work on the peninsula. would be awesome to meet new people or lend a helping hand. Also I love to buff and polish cars. Did it professionally for several years at dealerships and autobody shops including Weatherford BMW.

The last meet I went was the one that Detail Addict hosted in Santa Clara I believe way back when. Speaking of which, is Detail Addict still around? I remember putting down a deposit at the meet on a detail that I haven't had the chance to go get.... hmm...

I just checked Yelp and they seem to be in business. I was gonna take the E90 and the Wife's TSX to AJ's next Saturday but I might end up going to DA from looking at the pictures and reading the reviews.

thanks !

It was good and painless. He emailed his availability. Dropped it off on a Thursday and picked it up the following Monday. He'll ask you how soon you need the car back. Otherwise it looks like he took his time to get it done right. It was $7xx something I forget exactly how much. I think like ~$750 something, I'd have to look it up. Includes all new gaskets. Car runs great and no other issues so far except for cracking my rear rim over a pothole two weeks later lol...

I called various shops and no one was willing to do CBU cleaning on the diesel except for Trackspec in my area. No way in hell I was going to go to the shady dealer.

Nice! How did you know you wanted to do it? Just preventive or a cel?
I talked to performance Technic in Livermore and apparently they can do it in a day for like $600? But I have yet to try it out
Glad there's two options at least

Good to know. I'll keep them in mind. I live in Tracy and work in Fremont. Trackspec was perfect because it's only a few miles from my work. I got it done when I had a few SES fault codes show up: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1201303

So far no issues after the carbon cleaning.
