I saw 2 bad reviews of it here versus your 1 so like I said, I'll probably watch it but only when it comes to me for free. You also liked "Wrath of Becky" and I saw the first one and I thought it was awful. Wouldn't waste my time on the second one. I have a very good imagination and can watch most things and be happy, but not everything. I also didn't like the first Meg, so I think our tastes are a little different.

To be fair chief, you like just about everything. It's like people taking advice from me on what not to watch, but the opposite.

He's also a big Gal Gabor fan as he's said many times, so maybe a bit biased. Movies like just about anything are subjective, one mans/womans treasure is another ones rubbish.

Hate is a strong word, vociferously dislike is my preferred term.

Most new stuff is absolute shite though, you watch a movie from the 80's and wonder WTF happened to Hollywood.

Like many people I like certain genres of movies and tend to stick with those areas. I sometimes watch older movies that were great when they came out and now find they don't stand the test of time, these also seem to be the ones in the genres that I like sadly. There has always been politics and messaging in movies but it has changed direction and intensity and I think that is putting a lot of people off current releases. The other thing is that with so many streaming services and the hunger for entertainment (especially during covid) Hollywood has been producing more movies to keep up with demand and as a result have been putting out a lot of steaming heaps of crap. Just my opinion though.

Its all opinions. I will share mine just as others do. Shit if I listened to the world and trusted in opinions to guide my lifestyle, no clue what I may have missed out on, including a certain level of success.

I was just watching Edge of Tomorrow this past weekend for at least the 10th time.
It got me to thinking... There are certain films that I truly enjoy and will watch repeatedly when randomly channel surfing. Here's a few:
Anything from John Carpenter: The Thing, Escape from NEW York, Big Trouble in Little China
To Live and Die in LA
anything from John Hughes - 16 Candles, Uncle Buck, Breakfast Club, Weird Science
Aliens
It Follows
Trading Places, Beverly Hills Cop, Coming to America
Predator, Terminator Judgment Day

There's more but these come to mind.
