let me ask you something serious though.... and I'm not like raggin on you or anything but have you ever actually listened to Kanye West? I mean listened to his lyrics? He IS that good of a lyricist and more importantly the majority of his early songs are extremely oriented in Critical Racial and Class Pedagogy oriented. He is actually a hell of a lot deeper and more intelligent than most people who graduate from college. Is he INSANELY conceded which IS annoying but musically... the guy is on another level.

yea, no prob i understand. ive listened to his music. i semi like his shit but when he goes on national tv and says george bush hates all black people thats just more than ridiclious, takes away all his crediablity. seeing as i work on principles i just cant listen to his music and enjoy it.

best lyrics came from dmx or bone thugs. their shit is awesome

well in all honesty, he was right. I don't think Bush did care about Black people and while maybe his method to convey this message wasn't the best ever but his upbringing isn't one that would have let him take an opportunity like that to get out a message that Bush didn't react quickly enough or correctly to the problems in New Orleans.

I think hes probably one of the most enlightened artists out there. But yes DMX and Bone Thugs are both awesome too.

I like fall out boy because I know the lead singer from high school and I think hes an extremely talented song writer and pete wentz is (a tool but) a very good lyricist as well.

no and its fine man, i can respect you're opinion... i just hate when people say they don't like something they've never listened to closely, which I don't think is the case here. I just meet so many people who listen to music that I just don't understand. I think spears is garbage, yet she sells records like they're condoms at a gay porn set.... i don't get it but I guess if listening to that shit makes someone happy, thats all the justification needed. it just helps when someone listens NOT crappy shallow music.
