That episode 2 of The Last of Us towards the end was brutally disgusting and disturbing.
But it was necessary to add another dimension of the "Fungus".... 😳

The books were great, especially the early ones. I was so disappointed when they cast Tom Cruise as Reacher. WTF?!??! I have to watch the series.

Yeah, "Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan" with John Krasinski. I've been meaning to watch this.

Anybody watching it? Is it good?

I think it's just OK but this is from someone who has read the books and is also comparing to the movies with the Jack Ryan character. Hard to beat The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger.....

I wouldn't say don't watch it though.

Just my 2 cents.

Haven't read the books but really enjoyed the movies you mentioned.

I have Prime so might give it a try.

Really liked him in "A Quiet Place."

I watched the first season and thought it was ok. Couldn’t get past first episode of second season. Others like it more than I do. Give it a shot and let us know what you think.

I found the Jack Ryan series to be entertaining for sure. It was no "The Looming Tower" but it was definitely good.

Speaking of "The Looming Tower," I think that and "Alone" are the last 2 tv series I actively told friends and family to check out, because I felt they were that good....

What other series are really not to be missed lately?

depends on your definition of 'lately' but my votes would go to 'better call saul' and 'andor'.

Stumbled upon the Netflix series "You" Sunday. Pretty good series. I just started season 3.

It's got weirdness to it. The same plot somewhat.

it's got an interesting premise and a decent story...and i like that it's trying to be weird. i just wish it was a little leaner and less overly dramatic. it feels more like a traditional network drama than real "prestige TV"...whatever that means these days.

Ok, I can't be bothered to confirm w google but is this the same series as that incel/IT expert dude hacking into everyone and getting into relationship messes/trouble? I had enough of that guy after one season, just not palatable for me that this guy is the 'protagonist', kinda like that other show, Succession, w a whole cast of extremely unlikable characters.

Had to force myself to get through Jack Ryan season 2, 1st season was more entertaining. Couple of the episodes could have been condensed down to 10mins. I would rip on the horribly written last episode, but spoilers.

Terminal List is a far better show. Hopefully they film a second season. Reacher was more enjoyable to watch as well.

Terminal List was a great book. I didn’t know it was a series. Sometimes I wish I didn’t read so much. Movies and series are never as good as the books. I’ll check it out anyway. Thanks.

I saw "Terminal List." Was pretty good. In hindsight, was not great. Bet your book was better.

Wish I was a reader. Just don't enjoy it. Have tried many times and finished many books. Guess I'm too lazy. Reading seems like work to me. Would rather watch a movie.

My daughter absolutely loves reading. It's her favorite pastime. Loves to curl up with a good book. I'm jealous of you book readers.

Ditto, I think one just has to choose a medium and end it there. Book readers will virtually always be disappointed w the subsequent moving picture and moving picture ppl like me are too lazy to go reading haha. I tried reading once w The DaVinci Code and then saw the movie: WORST experience of my (entertainment) life since I obviously knew what was gonna happen...I don't get why readers bother, guess they are morbidly curious; just awful and one will definitely be disappointed and go nitpicking everywhere, making quips like "the book was WAY better!!!", "they left out/changed/omitted ENTIRE scenes/characters, HOW DARE THEY!!!". Cmon, what did you bookworms expect??? LMAO.
