Exclamation

I have been following this very closely for the past 18 months.
The film is complete and will release next Summer. Ridley Scott is very impressed! If it's good enough for him. It's good enough for me and you

I'm a man, I don't do screams lol.

I still remember watching a thriller in university and my friend let out a scream, never thought the same of him ever since.

You should've seen me at the theater when I saw Jaws. I about fell out of my seat. I take my scary movies seriously.

Oh, and men scream. It's just not all high and shrill like a woman. When they said "in space no one can hear you scream" they weren't just talking about women.

BTW, the baddest person in the Alien franchise is a woman.

I know she's a clone (part Alien) here but she is totally badass. Ripley made these movies what they are.

^ Another clip. This one where Harry Dean Stanton screams, right before he gets killed.

Cute kitty, BTW.

I don't consider the Alien franchise scary - the original film, sure, but not the rest. To be fair, I discovered it as an adult, and in the 2000's, which may be a factor. I still very much enjoy the franchise, though. I had forgotten this new one is in the works - can't wait!

On the Alien note, Life is a decent flick and is essentially a rehash of the original Alien movie.

Agree that the original Alien is the one that the others can only follow and far too many follow ups which try too hard. That said the new one due next year is promising especially as Ridley Scott has said it's great having seen it already.
Whether it's great for us remains to be seen.

I am a huge fan of the series though feel Alien 3 and Resurrection were really poor but it was rescued by the underrated Promethius and Covenant.

The original is an utter masterpiece of tension and character building.

LIFE was OK but unlike the early Alien films, Life had too many instances of "oh come on no freakin way the crew does that", particularly in regards to quarantine breaches etc and the handling of an alien species.

Oh, Alien Resurrection was so underrated, felt bad for the hybrid alien baby.

I know Jaws looks like a big rubber fish today, but seeing it in the theater when it first came out was pretty hair-raising. A good one by one of the greats; Steven Spielberg.

And yeah, I felt bad for the alien baby too. So did Ripley, but she had to do what she had to do.

Cameron has always been a big fan of strong female leads...

Started Renfield the other day since it’s free on Prime. Was looking forward to it but I’m not liking it. Not even halfway through and so far it’s meh 🫤. Might finish it tonight. Hope it gets better but don’t think it will.

Watching SAW X tonight since it hit Digital!
I hear it is VERY good.

FYI... I watched NUN II recently. Pretty decent.
I will wait for Exorcist Believers to hit digital as well.
By the way, it will be a Trilogy.

Yeah. That was posted. I'm confident that I've seen worse. I'll report back after watching tonight or tomorrow...

After seeing that funky town craziness, anything is tame.

So ppl were talking about that scene, not the first scene w the klepto dude and the vacuum?
