As a casual browser of the OT section, I have grown to respect TXSTYLE's unflagging enthusiasm towards his consumption. I love stuff too, but frankly I get a bit exhausted by all the research and shopping so only get new things in spurts. Our boy TX is all in, all the time. It's pretty impressive.

Hopefully this is not considered a weapon...
To say I love this thing would be a vast understatement!

No this thing is unreal. You don't know what you are missing. It automatically ensures the tire pressure is always percicly at the correct amount. Don't believe me? Check out some of these reviews:
I tried to file my nails, but in the process I accidentally fixed a small engine that was near by. Which was nice I forgot the knife in the front pocket of my Swiss Army shorts and when my wife washed them it completely disassembled our washing machine. Received this knife as a gift for my 18th birthday. Wish I'd have known what it was because as soon as I touched it, I grew a mustache and became a Navy Seal. Mom fainted and my dad laughed and handed me a beer. I was born a girl. I accidentally left this knife in the glovebox of my wore out 67 Chevy truck overnight. miraculously the knife fully restored the truck and drove it to the store then returned with two hookers and a cooler full of beer

New season; new wash of Diesel's Belther style/cut jeans! This time I bought wash "0684P." Looks black/dark gray but Diesel calls the color dark blue? This makes my 7th pair of Belthers so I know I'll like them.
Also picked up a couple of Diesel T-shirts since I was there...

Went antique shopping with the spousal unit. Yeah, I lead such an exciting life, I know, but I picked up this little item... it's a pewter gill measure from the late 1800s (pre-1878). I really got it to decorate a future man-cave/bar area, but curiosity got the best of me...
I asked the Pewter Society of Great Britain to take a look at the pics and this is what they came back with: "This is a very neat pewter gill brass rim measure obviously used by the publican, W.A. White at “The Linden Tree” ?? H…….. ?? S.W London in the late nineteenth century. It was made before 1878 as the Excise Mark of the crown over a shield is a London one used before the authorities brought in a numbering system to replace the much nicer crests such as this. The re-inforced brass rim was to ensure that it was not distorted easily and thus encourage possible short measure and the Excise Officer came to strike the mark when he came to check it." Basically the brass rim made sure the pubs couldn't grind down the pewter to make the cup smaller (as was explained to me by the antique shop). It's really tough to read the bottom... I can just barely make out "The [something] Tree, Fulham, S.W." They also said I might be able to find a maker's mark if I buff out some of the oxidation on the base... might try that tonight with some super fine steel wool if I have a moment. |

You'll kick yourself if you take steel wool to that. Leave it alone, or get a pro to do it (If you just gotta go DIY, use a tarnish cloth). Similar to coins, patina and originality are the key, and you can easily reduce the value to a tenth.

Commencing the first phase of upgrading my new Benelli M4. Hopefully the moderators agree these are not weapons in themselves. I intentionally am not attaching images of the full M4 with these upgrades in an effort to comply.
First and foremost, I picked up a Scalarworks "SYNC Trijicon RMR Bundle" that includes a Trijicon RM06 mini reflex sight and a Scalarworks SYNC mount. This setup replaces the OEM rail and enables the user to co-witness the red dot and iron sights. Super psyched to get this setup as I consider this the absolute-best sight option available for the M4. Doesn't hurt that they're in next door in Pennsylvania. Next, I wanted an oversized safety. RCI-XRAIL in black was my choice. Their product seems a bit more refined than most other options, without getting resorting to bling like the Taran Tactical offering. RCI-XRAIL's first-rate customer service and order processing made this an easy choice. A new charging handle almost seems obligatory when swapping parts on an M4. Freedom Fighter Tactical got my money here. I chose the unpolished 1/2" titanium version. I considered the 3/4" version but just seemed a bit jumbo and over the top. Lastly, I ordered a GG&G Bolt Release Pad (in black). I chose the GG&G bolt release because their kit doesn't require drilling and tapping the OEM bolt release; and is generally highly regarded.
