Yeah that should help,

The lag issue could be your turbo wastegates, VTT unfortunately don't have a good rep.

Have you got Wastegate rattle?

You can try adjusting rods to see if it helps.

I don't have any WG rattle at all

Ok, if you have MHD wastegate rattle fix enabled in the flash options,

That could also cause lag.

Hit rev limiter hard last night and now my car goes into limp mode during WOT

Hey guys last night I was doing a pull in 2nd and banged limiter hard. My car sputtered and went into limp mode right after. Shut it off and back on and the codes went away and it drives fine… till about 65% throttle or WOT and then it cuts out and backfires throwing the car into limp mode again. So now it’s a persistent thing after last nights pull.

The mods are FBO N54 on stock turbos with Port Injection, stage 3 fuel pump and full E85.

Lmk what y’all think could be the issue. Thx

Log is attached.

Rail pressure seems to be dropping a ton at the end of 3rd gear when it happened, and LPFP sensor stays at 55 the entire time. Also is this normal for lpfp sensor to stay at the same number the entire time?

Prefer not to post before zschneider gets a response but I need to troubleshoot

Need some help here guys:
My car was sitting for a year and now I am finally starting my FBO process.
I installed an ETS 5"IC, generic chargepipe with oem diverters, injen intakes and the front VTTS inlet. (Rear inlet goes in with a rebuilt turbo and outlets; when i do the oilpan gasket SMH)

Test drive showed very little boost until high revs - see log
And MAF reading and HP fuel rate dropping before final boost.
All vacuum lines are new. Turbos are need of a rebuild but pulled fine from 3500 rpm before I began this upgrade.

I want to get things sorted before going any farther and complicating the changes.

Where to start?

Which map os this running?

3rd gear log should show WOT 80% or more throttle from what I understand.

Your log shows very little throttle initially, and only after 4k does it go WOT.

You might want to check your charge pipe and throttle body connections.

It's a Dinan map - for now.
I noticed that.

My piping from the cold side to the charge pipe is a little wonky, but soap bubble test doesn't reveal leaks.
Maybe reset adaptations?
Test MAF or MAP?

There is a torque limiter 512 preventing any boost target. Reason why ppl and the experts should log this parameter so good thing you did.
Google torque limit 512 for possible causes and solutions or could be the map not sure

Roger that.
Credit MHD defaults for capturing that parameter!

So here is what I am finding:
The Lim 512 is protection against an overheat situation, and can go as far as limp mode. (Also can be protection against a lean condition in cylinder 1)
It so happens that my incorrect cold side tubing prevents me from reinstalling the fan shroud. And it throws a 2EFE.
Its 30 F here so no risk of overheating, but perhaps the code is enough to trigger the Lim 512.

Is it consistent that I would still have high end boost and the lim would be overridden at those rpms?

Good q, dont know why 512 turns off at high rpm. Is it speed related?
Looks like the 2efe is a prime suspect

Did you have DSC fully disabled when you did the log?

Also flash stage 0 map and log with DSC fully off.

DSC would be torque limit value of 1.

As already stated above, 512 is just a limiter for temperature. Either coolant, oil or trans temps. The missing fan would also be a trigger.

Ok mate, that makes sense.

Off topic but just like to say... Thanks for the heads up on the injectors, all mine are index 1's and just found out some were leaking, replaced them all with Index 12's, gotta replace the Valve Cover as well, as that's also got a crack.

Anything seem off here? Car feels stable no codes whatsoever. Former owner placed some OKD racing coils in there and spark plug conditions are unknown. It just feels a bit slower than it should be but maybe it’s just me. Any ideas? (I’m aware of the IAT rise and I’m getting FMIC and CP next week)

Some timing corrections on cyl. 2 and cyl. 3. The pulling of timing is your DME/ECU trying to prevent engine knock, and in turn you lose power and economy - probably contributing to the sluggishness. Actual boost is consistently under target by 2-4 psi so it's more "sluggy" than it should be. Maybe some new plugs gapped correctly will restore some life if it's been a while since replacing.

It looks like you probably have some sort of a boost leak,

Good idea to follow this guide... (even if you don't have a 30FF code)

Thanks! Thought so… but it must be minor since I still have some runs that taper off to around 10 psi. But I’ll definitely take a look when installing my FMIC. I’ve already changed my CP before, did all my intake gaskets and throttle body… so I’m suspecting a cracked OEM FMIC.

Got boost again!

Thanks to you(and Saif2018), I got this sorted.
Plugged the fan shroud in and all is good. Not having that connector connected throws that code and puts it into a type of limp mode.

So here is another log:
https://datazap.me/u/love-hatethesec...og=0&data=3-22

Why the sawtooth Throttle position and WGDC?
DTC is fully off

Also, I'm interested in saving the Dinan tune (this one) before I flash with MHD. Is that possible?
