Was doing some wiring under drivers footwell. One of my tools caught pin 16s wire on the diagnostic port, snapping the wire right at the flatspring connector.

Then I preceded to use the incorrect pin release tool, damaging the housing, lol.

Ordered a new port and 10 flatspring connectors, also soldered a small extension to the broken wire so it won't be overly tight when everything is fixed up.

Anyone know the difference between between the two available flatspring connectors? Bottom two parts, looks like one may be slightly wider, so I order enough of both to re-pin the whole port.

Well, Friday I put a newly painted trim ring on the starter button of my wife's car.

Yesterday I sanded the old one down, primered and painted it with Barbera paint that matches my car. Just pulled my old plain worn start button out and replaced it.

And finished painting the front lip that is going to go on my car.

No issues anymore? No lights? Everything is working fine? Did you do any coding?

The only issue was when I did not fully seat the slip ring connector. Once that was sorted out everything was plug and play. No coding required.

did you do platinum cured vac lines. That looks like a 335is guido. How many miles on the old one. I have the original and I'm at 140k. Just wondering.

Changed my valve cover gaskets due to common leak. taking the valve cover out noticed it was cracked. That sucked. Had to order a new one ASAP. installed it and job complete. Not much fun but an accomplishment none the less and not to mention saved myself about 2grand at least from the stealership. Dam that was a pain getting it back in.
Also not today but a few weeks ago changed out thermostat on the ride with coolant flush. along with brake fluid flush. both easily done just tight spaces

Brake bleed. Pretty straight forward. The Motive bleeder makes a big difference. I activated the ABS pump a few times with each wheel. It's probably not necessary but I hear people complain of a mushy pedal if they don't.

Just finished doing a transmission filter and fluid swap. I was able to get 5L out and back in. Used Red Line ATF. Shifting so much better.

Finally got my car properly aligned after doing the following:

B12 Kit
M3 Front & Rear Arms
Meyle HD Tie Rods
Manzo Adjustable Rear Toe Arms

Car feels planted, yet nimble. Love it!

I originally went to the dealership for my alignment, but they botched it. Took it to a local BMW specialist (AutoTechnic in New Milford, CT), and they nailed it. Highly recommend them for anyone in Central, CT.

You really don't need to. Use a pressure bleeder like a Motive unit.
