Agreed. Hellllll no.

Been through that and never again. Tried 'fixing' a smoker car and despite the best of efforts, and the belief it was good to go, one hot day outside with the windows up would always reveal it's true past

Friend of mine picked up that one in Denver. Says it needs a detail but is otherwise pretty perfect.

Denver one looked like a steal. Lucky.

Previous owner of the red one on BaT comments on the auction. Someone ask him about the paint :-)

I remember selling my previous m-sport on BAT and I left the undercarriage untouched. It had some mild surface rust in a few spots. The comments I would get acted like I parked the car in the ocean and I remember them saying that it better not go to someone in the north. I went and looked at all the other auctions and nobody even removed the front belly pan in other auctions to show the rust on the steel x-drive subframe.

I just don't understand how people think his cars are some sort top of the market, when he does a bit of detailing and has a good camera.

There are a couple of really cool other wagons on BaT. I really really really want an E36 wagon at some point but just picked up a project E39 so I don't have the mental or physical space for another build.

That E34 is great as well! A coworker of mine had a Granite Silver E34 525i 5MT back in the early 2000's and I loved it.

Always have loved the look of Scott's silver touring, even if it is stance-y.

He even talked him down a few hundred too, crazy. I'll probably drive it in a few weeks and tell him to let me know when he sells it!

Sometimes perception is more important than reality.

BaT has created a cult for the cars sold there that makes it seem like they are the absolute best and only the nicest ones are picked for auction. At least that's what the guy outside of it sees, then they realize it's just a bunch of dudes overbidding in copart for e91s because they got the plug at bat to sell it for more than the other bidder

Hi everyone. I'll be listing my wife's E91 6MT for sale real soon, so I thought I'd drop a note here to give anyone who may be interested a heads up.

We purchased the car CPO at 25K miles and are the second owner. The original owner was a BMW Master Technician who leased the car for 2 years. The E91 has been maintained and serviced religiously throughout our ownership, maintained at the dealer (Ridgefield BMW) during the warranty period and then Speedsport Tuning (https://sstauto.com) in Danbury CT for all the work below post warranty.

6 Speed Manual
120K Miles
Alpine White
Black Leather Interior with Front Heated Seats
SiriusXM Capable
Shadow Line Trim
Panoramic Sunroof
M Sport Shift Knob
De-badged
New Continental SSR all season tires (less than 500 miles on them)
*Sale includes BMW Roof Rack Bars

Maintenance History (Have all receipts):

Valve cover gasket & oil filter gasket (77K)
Oil pan gasket (85K)
Water pump, Thermostat, Carbon canister, & Manual Transmission Fluid (Preventative - 94K)
Spark plugs (104K)
Headlight/Taillight bulbs (107K)
Rear Brake Pads and Rotors (116K)
Front tie rods (119K)
Front axles & ABS Sensors (119K)
Torque arm bushings (119K)
Alignment (119K)
Front Brake Pads and Rotors (119K)
Brand New Windshield due to a highway stone chip (120K)
Regular synthetic oil changes per schedule
Regular cleaning and conditioning of interior leather seats with Sonax Products

Cosmetics:
Front dash cupholder (near driver) works fine but you have to hold up the bottom tray when sliding it in. It slides out fine.
There are a small few door dings, with the worst being on the front passenger door. We touched it up with OEM paint.
There is an indentation/crease in the rear bumper from when some stupid kid backed his golf cart into the car in a summer pool parking lot. We touched it up with OEM paint.
Some curb rash on the rims

There are few things I need to take care of before I post it. There is a windshield washer leak near the front passenger headlight which likely just needs a new pump, I want to do a battery test as it's been a few years since the last replacement, and she is due for an oil change.

These things don’t look too bad in photos or that noticeable but in person it’s going to look bad.
