What version of FSC generator are you using?
The latest version is v1.91, you can download it from the 1st post.

You should also extract the 1b.hex file from your car using the guide here: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1461515

You then use the 1b.hex file to generate the FSC code (don't use the 'By Date' + VIN option, it's experimental and may not work).

i hawe download file from the first page and its BMW CIC/NBT Keygen v1.01, i tryed new version and its not free

The Europe Premium maps got too large so they split them into East & West (I think around 2015). Just pick the one for your country.

It should be a straighforward update provided you have a valid FSC code for the car.

Hi,

I have a 2014 MINI with 2013 map MOVE!
Because method 1b doesn´t work, I tried to generate the FSC code by date+VIN and the car doesn´t accept the new code! The new map will be North America MOVE 2019 (can´t find 2021!!).
Now the navigation is always asking for a valid code, even after I Cancel and remove the pen drive!!
Suggestions?

After further investigation, it looks like I have Champ2 hardware and not a CIC!!

Then I could find some more info about a "kriszty software" that is able to "download" the FSC from my head unit. Anyone, to help?
Or another tool to get the job done?

Hey all

Can't get the generator to give me an FSC that will work, tried multiple codes; lifetime and single use, using the 1b/usb method and VIN/date lookup. 2010 335i original/unmolested CIC; have the 2021 Premium download (nearly 30gb on the flash) but can't get passed the FSC authentication

Any ideas?

How do you know the CIC is unmolested when you bought the car used after 7 or 8 years?

I don't know about the situation in the U.S., but here in europe, there are lots of cars with retrofitted CICs. Problem is that to correctly fit that to the car, you would have to buy a code from BMW, which has two potential problems:

a. very expensive
b. you have to provide proof that the CIC is not stolen but from a salvage car

To circumvent either problem, there is a special CAN bus blocker to keep the CIC from knowing it is on the wrong car. With such a construct, the 1B VIN is completely different from the car's VIN and to my knowledge, you would need the data from the CIC VIN to generate an FSC.

I bought the car 4 years ago or so now from the original owner who I assumed kept it stock and/or didn't modify it himself (older fellow)

Are you implying my car has a non-original CIC? That seems much more convoluted than just assuming the CIC is original since it's a 2010 the original owner didn't spare any expense in checking off all the optional extras

My assumption at this point for what's happening is what Jaeger stated can happen in rare instances where the script being used to generate the 1b.hex file is cutting the wrong portion of the code. What exactly is the fix for this? Read through most of the thread but didn't understand some of it

If you know the previous owner and know for sure that the CIC was ordered with the car, you have a different problem. There were some fellows over here who got retrofitted cars and only knew they had this problem when they tried to update the maps, even though they got the FSC directly from BMW.

I cannot help with getting the 1B file correct because I got mine from the 'source' years ago and never had to pry it from the car.
