This weekend I hope to read the owner's guide a bit. (In that sense I'm like a GUY; I have reading instructions!) But read I must... I haven't even figured out how to unlock the doors except on the driver's side. PATHETIC!!

I'm going to give my car a GOOD wash/wax this weekend, then take some pics to post here. Just had my windows tinted last night too! more to come....

Question for anyone? Does the light stay on for the "P" park when car is locked and turned off on the Steptronic?

It's a beautiful car TEODULOG! The wheels look nice too! I'm not a huge fan of changing wheels/tires but yours is a good example of nice!

EODULOG:
What size rims do you have? And where did you pick up your replicas (price/location)? Out of curiosity? Thanks.

My wheels are 19's. I think they are the perfect size for the e90. They are Velocity Motoring VB2's. I got them at **********s. They came out to 1,651 with tires, mounted and balanced. The wheels themselves were $699. most of the cost was tires. I went with Goodyear Eagles F1 GS D3 tires.

Heh yea. I still approve of the Hojin cars thread though. So far I've got 610 miles on mine in 3 days. Getting so close to the end of breakin, I can't wait!

Reunion thread

Any thoughts on making a Hojin reunion thread to see how we are all doing with our cars in the near future?

Sure, sounds like a good idea. I gotta say, I just love the e90 and my purchase experience with my dealership/finance/CA has been great. I didn't step foot into the dealer until I picked up my car. :rocks:

What's a "clear bra"?

It's a relatively thin polyurethane film (like saran wrap, but thicker) that they stretch on the front of the car... front bumper, front 18" of hood, maybe rear view mirrors, etc. Provides an extra layer of protection against rock chips, etc. It's a hair thinner than, say, a report cover people use for book reports or whatever in school.

3M and other similar companies make the film.

IMO, not worth the money, but others swear by them, especially if they have to follow semi-trucks often. I find the visible line on the hood to be too distracting personally, and a few scratches won't kill me.

The one I got also covers the inside of the door handle cups, to prevent rings, and or fingernails from scratching the handle, and it also covers the rear edge of the doors so they won't get chippied if I accidently hit something with them. I mainly got them because when I look at the hood of my truck, which sits a whole lot higher than my car, there are a bunch of small chips out of the paint. I figure it will help my car look newer longer. The only seam you can really see without getting up close is the one on the hood, and even it isn't very big. If I remember I'll get a couple pictures tonight.

I'm planning on getting the clear bra too. The best installers around here want to charge almost $700 though so I'm really wavering

Yup, $695 was the price quoted to me. Seems absurd for what can't cost more than $2 to manufacture and 2 hours to install. I watched the local installer doing an M6, and it's basically just spray/stretch/squeegee over and over, using a blend of ~10% alcohol and 90% water.

He did state that the E90 has the hardest nose to cover of any BMW, but still, $700 is a lot. I may call him and see what his rate is when he isn't on the dealership's time.

As to a work area, he stated that dust-free is way more critical for tinting than clear bra application, so figure most any sealed cement garage would work just fine.
