It was looking promising, they just didn't think it would actually have that much power and didn't want to sacrifice daily driving I guess.

Just got the tcu flash done last week with DetailAddict (thanks for the heads up guys!). The change is amazing and the car feels so much more refined, especially since I'm running cobb stage 1 as well. The AT feels great and the car's power comes through much more predictably. Amazing
Upgrade. I've already sent info to friends recommending it!

I'd like to find a coder in the San Jose area to perform the Alpina flash. I live in San Diego, but I'm currently in San Jose. I see Coding@DetailAddict may be able to do this. If anyone knows him or someone else, have them ping me.

I know a lot of coders have taken on doing this flash, but I hope you guys aren't paying much as it's a 4 min flash. I also recommend they don't write UIF information. One last thing, if you need major warranty work, you need to flash back otherwise the dealer can flag it as a modification.

If anyone needs help doing the flash, feel free to let me know. You can get the cable online for $35 and I can help you with the software setup.

Hey all, I tried posting this in the 5 series forum and got no responses. I was wondering since the alpina flash doesn't appear in the e60 data files whether or not you could flash the e60 using just the e89 data files from the gke215 folder. I was able to get Winkfp to pull the right file but I don't have a 535i to try it on. The 5 series forum is quite limited here compared to the 3 series.

There's no point in flashing the alpina files on an E60. Does the 535i car have SAT? If not, perform the retrofit, shifts are very similar to the alpinas.

What's the UIF? This is the first I'm hearing about flashing back to stock before warranty work. Is that a real concern or just limited to transmission related repairs?

I tried to PM you about the software setup offer, but can't seem to find the PM link associated with your account.

UIF is the flash history. If you disable the UIF write options it doesn't require VIN and won't show up in history. If you have any major warranty work done, like turbo replacement, some dealers will flag your car as having a non-standard assemble number in your EGS module. I know, this happened to me.

Just call or txt me to setup something. 503-679-3538

Try Car-Part.com

They have some C rated flood transmissions that the MCM should still be good for an upgrade swap. Flood water won't damage the MCM.
