08 MT E92 335Xi: DCI, AR Downpipes, and Cobb v3 stage 2 ots map. Ran with DTC/DSC on.

60' 1.90
12.89 @106.03

Cobb map felt like shit. Just switched to MHD wanna see what that will put down Friday night. Have a vrsf 7" and chargepipe on the way. Thinking about picking up the wotbox to improve launching too.

Feel like I should have a better ET than I do.

what was the psi on that cobb map ?

im sure you will do better with mhd... especially if you have access to e85 and try the e25 or e40 maps
i think et is ok but the mph is a bit low for 12.89

i gotta wait until april before our local track opens up

The cobb stage 2 map was 18psi. I noticed the MHD map is like 14.5psi. On the stage 2 mhd map my 60' is 1.83 and my ET is around ~13.1. MPH was lower on the mhd too. Should have the intercooler finally on the car in a week or so(huge hold up with ups). So i can finally switch to stage 2+ ots map.

AT or MT? either way 12's are easily in your reach with that setup provided the car is mechanically sound otherwise. My guess would be 12.5 or lower with AT and 12.5-12.7-ish with MT depending on your driving skills and wheel/tire setup

last time i visited this track e92 m3 was doing 14.0 and GT-r doing 12.9 so not sure if it was bad driver mods or this track is a bit slow... we will see tonight !! so hyped !!

a friend of mine is picking up his 2016 audi s3 today so it should be a fun time ..from the dealership straight to the track lol
LOL, my fault, I missed the xHP part. AT you should be good to go. I think my first time at the track in my car I had same setup (7" instead of 5") and was pretty consistent around 12.5-12.7.

A guy I been hanging out with lately at my local track also has an S3 with just a tune and he's crackin off 11.6-11.8. The RS3's are the beast but the S3's are no slouches either.

Im E60 (Wedge) FBO + (I think thats right, I dont keep up with this board that much any more) inlets, no PI, stock turbos, all season street tires and run pretty consistent 11.8 - 12.0 without making any adjustments to tire pressure. I literally drag it how I drive it every day to work.

Since its your first time in a while my advice would be launch in 2nd aroud 2300 rpms, skip the water box. You dont want to over complicate things. There is more going on than lining up and smashing the gas pedal. I'm personally NOT a fan of launching in 2nd on stock turbos but it is a bit 'easier' to do. First is tricky and you have to 'short' shift 1st gear any way (if youre on street tires) or they just spin and you lose .2 - .4 of your ET anyway

You should have no issues ripping off 12's all night. Just have fun and be safe. Dont forget to post your clips and slips. Good luck brotha.

thanks !! i will definitely post slips tonight . Maybe even a video if i get another friend to join us and handle the camera duties

the car pulls like a mofo ... no check engines for a while now.. hitting 21.5 psi regularly...i feel like it is all about the launch with this car ...i know i gotta avoid the water box and just do a quick spin of the tires to clean them... when it comes to s3..yeah they get out of the hole pretty fast.. constant 1.80s 60 foot ...i should kill him on the top end though since his is stock for now
my next purchase will definitely be some lighter wheels that will help a ton since these are 29 pounds !

I agree, I cut 2/10ths just by switching from OEM to Apex Arc 8's

Yes I run V5 E40 map because imho you feel the difference in power and performance compared to the other maps. Nope, not a bad time at all!
