Think I am going to contact the dealership tomorrow about that oil cooler and see if they will retrofit it. Read up on it this am. Seems about 50/50 on weither or not they will do it. You know, my car was running very hot yesterday, and is worse on long trips

i think you have to have cases of limp modes from them to even consider it. so just beat the piss out of it in the summer and induce that shit

How hot were you running? I have yet to run anywhere near a temp that concerns me and I don't have the cooler.

Yeah, kinda what I was reading. Beat the hell out of it today on my way to work to see what would happen but way to cold. Hope it gets up to 120 degrees this summer, then I will go out and have some fun.

Around 320 degrees but that was after I used the clear duct tape so that may have had something to do with it?

i know that the cooler kicks in around 240. and limps around 300

I am not most likely which is why I don't want to buy one especially if there is a chance BMW will retrofit one. Doubt it, but worth a try.
