Lol I felt so bad for him (mv57)...I figured I'd do a UK-friendly challenge, which would be kind of tricky to accomplish here in the US. I have no idea whether there's fish and chips on Cyprus but I would believe just about anything after you SOMEHOW pulled that cotton candy challenge out of nowhere

I'm starting to think Cyprus is pretty cool.

fish and chips is easy, we have lots of places for fish n chips, we used to be an English colony so we kinda like it too

there is a place called liverpool that makes good FnC, if its not done by tomorrow noon maybe i'll have some for lunch.. its a win win situation

Fish and chips in Old Blighty are soooo good, it makes anywhere else pale in comparison. I know bkr mentioned one place in NY, but I saw another place on the Travel channel in NYC that was fish and chips but they would fry ANYTHING, I think they were the ones that invented the deep fried twinkie!

I just cant remember the name!

talking of deep frying randon foods... the scots are know to deep fry pizzas. Do a quick wiki search on it. Nuts!

My friend once got a local pizza place to deep fry an entire cheeseburger. I'm glad I wasn't present to witness that.

I have noticed deep fried candy for sale as well, particularly oreos and snickers...never tried any of that mess

Here's our attempt at the challenge. Our options are a bit limited for fish&chips - either Long John Silvers or dress up for a fancy dinner. But, it's real fish (tilapia) and chips from Trader Joe's.

LOL is that a frying pan?, traditionally its served with potato fries (well that's how I've always seen it in the states), but i do believe it was originated with fried slab cut potatoes aka chips.

Well, cod and tilapia are both white fish. I know, I know - you were expecting something different. But, I could hardly get proper fish and chips considering that my definition involved getting them from some boat permanently anchored in the Thames.

Since I'm off to bed and won't be able to check in until the afternoon, here's the next challenge should this one be considered good enough (and sticking with the nautical theme) -

Your E9x parked next to a real lighthouse.

Oh lord...I don't know whether to approve this or not. I clearly meant actual fish and chips, preferably wrapped in newspaper but any sort of presentation would really be fine.

Unless there's some objection I think I'm going to hold out in hopes someone can actually do the real fish and chips today.

I know everyone is already racing to a lighthouse - might be slightly premature guys.

I love that it's literally fish...and chips....but I'm not trying to approve this one on a technicality. If it doesn't get done by the end of the day you can have the point for being crafty though - I don't want to hold up the game.

SOMEONE has to have access to real fish and chips!?!?
