Actually it is my daily driver. However, this last year I did primarily bicycle the 30 mile round trip to work for the spring/summer/fall, but most of the previous years were driven on this car as a daily.

I wrote it poetry and whisper to it gently.

I'm at ~85,000 mies, so it's not too unusual to make it this far. But it might have helped that I am careful about how/when I use extreme power output. And it might have helped that I also removed the engine cover nearly year round and would open my hood to vent heat almost every evening when returning from work in the warmer spring/summer/fall months. I don't like how much heat is trapped under the hood and think it contributes to early demise of the vacuum hoses and possibly the damper... I've often considered cutting the hood and adding vents to help reduce underhood heat, but I haven't yet ventured into that area.

Im at 102k, only 6k in for me, appears to have had a pretty easy ownership with all parts so far branded BMW. Most of life in northern climate. I've had a few queues that it is starting to let go (occasional chirp, scent, and visual cracks).

Certainly the heat under hood is much worse when parking mid regeneration... which we all try not to do but sometimes unavoidable or undetected. E90 I assume is worse than E70 for trapped heat due to bay size.

OOHHH...well then....at 85k its not that unusual... mine has been the DD for quite a while and im at 120...so apparently I put a few more miles on a year...

Well merry xmas to you...you only have to change it once...mine new(ish) one will be put in the back of the x5 so when that one goes, i got a spare...

Cheaper to buy a carbon hood with vents already in place.

Weight reduction too

I’ve received mine as well. I’ll probably install it next weekend along with a new thermostat and belts. I’m replacing the thermostat as more of as long as I’m there, preventative.

My damper went out today. thankfully right after a long road trip and with 187k miles on it. The price seems too high seeing how it costs more than a damper for my dodge Cummins, but regardless it is something far better than OEM.

Also in case anyone is wondering about longevity of their upgrades, I have put over 80k on my 335d since i installed my hybrid turbos, Wagner FMIC, DPF/SCR/EGR delete and BPC stage 4 Tune.

What else is recommended to replace when changing the harmonic balancer? I have the belts and balancer. Do ya'll recommend replacing the tensioner pulley, belt tensioner assembly, and deflection pulley as well?

Do you know the part number or link? I can't seem to find it on his site.

Please don't post the part numbers online, I'm trying to provide these to all Fluidampr customers and unfortunately creating a supply problem that will likely take a few months to be resolved. I'll be sending out an email update later today to all Fluidampr customers detailing the parts we'll be sending out, tools required and installation instructions.

Why?

Will the pulleys have the same lifetime warranty ( through Fluidampr or you? ), or is it a one time deal then we are on our own?

Are there two different types of pulleys you are supplying?

Thanks for posting the part number.

I'm not confirming or denying that he is using the part number that we are supplying.

I purchased 25 from FCP Euro and 250 from a variety of other vendors wiping out the reasonably priced U.S. inventory and I have another 200 on the way from Germany. When you giving away a pulley for free it makes a big difference whether you pay $38 or $58 each

Guys rest assured I'm doing everything I can to get these shipped out to you as soon as possible, I told everybody that they would be shipped out this week in an e-mail, I did not give out the date that "Tuscon" created on his own.

The Facebook banter went on for days and days, this guy wrote for hours and hours and hours. I'm not going to respond to him anymore, if anybody would like to set up a return for full refund I will gladly assist them. Alternatively, will be shipping out clutch pulley conversion kits to all fluidampr customers at no charge over the next few days. I need spacers from fluidampr, it doesn't do me any good to ship the police to you without the spacers, if anybody wants to ask us any questions please call us at 678-535-7172.

Actually, according to andrew barnes, he removed me because i started my own group, didnt know that was a rule, not because i talked to much. I never tried trash talked anyone, or the product. I simply suggested it should be recalled and re-tuned and while you communicated and gave pulleys or part numbers to others, the fact is you ignored me and my cars still down and i am out a bunch of money, thats not trash talk thats just the facts.

Also my opinion was and is the real fix should be a product designed from the ground up to work with a stock engine, without additional parts or modifications, that's not trash talk. If what i believe should happen cannot or will not happen then the next best thing to bandaid fix that is the idea i originally posted about back on sec 16th which would be a clutched pulley. I shared that idea to help speed up the process, i am glad you we're able to capitalize on it for the benefit of others but not at my expense so no i am not happy about that. A thank you would have been nice. I posted an INA PART NUMBER I GOT AFTER MANY HOURS OF REASERCH, not to sabatoge but to help others to be independent of any one vendor and just to speed up this process. After all my car is down because i was dependent on you to help me and so far i got nothing. Its not fair i sit broken down while friends of yours get pulleys and brag about how great the benefits are. As far as a release date goes you said Jan 3rd, if you cant deliver then well thats not my problem, i cant wait on you indefinitely.

Anyhow, i am just here to help others get this moving forward and working with satisfactory results so they dont fall into the same pitfalls i fell into. Not here to start drama or a fight. I havn't bad mouthed you so please dont bad mouth me.

By the way what is the new eta on the additional free parts just curious?

You complained to Ivan from fluidampr and me separately that you had to do all the extra work of putting your stock harmonic balancer on. You posted that the Facebook also. If you did that then your vehicle was not down, if you didn't do that....then you lied.

No more three ring circus.

Tracking numbers will be issued automatically when the parts are shipping.
Fluidampr is looking like having the spacers available for me tomorrow or Monday or Tuesday. I will provide them an overnight label to send the spacers to me as soon as they are done. I will ship pulleys and spacers to everybody immediately.

I do not wish to continue this argument on e90post as well, but will post this in order to be transparent. Your removal was for a conglomeration of reasons.

1.) I had received complaints from people who were sick of seeing your constant postings. I told you that I had received complaints. And when I removed you I told you again that "your posts have bothered too many people". I have proof of this.

2.) Despite many people(myself included) requesting you tone it down, you continued doing what you were doing. Massive comments of how upset you were and all of these "facts", and yet you offered no(realistic) solutions or proof of anything. I specifically told you if you had issues with a company or individual to gather your proof and post it publicly in a single post, which you did not do. I have proof of this.

3.) You stated that you only joined the Facebook group in order to discuss the Fluidampr unit. I have proof of this. Since you made your own Facebook group for this specific reason, I saw no reason to keep you in the main Facebook group. If you would like to rejoin the main group for the other benefits that come with it, then that can possibly be accommodated.

I also planned on communicating this to you personally and discussing it further if you wished, but I was blocked, so I requested that someone else please relay the information to you.

My PMs are always open to those with questions, yourself included. The purpose of this thread is not to re-hash Facebook drama, and I will not be contributing to this thread anymore. I have not purchased a Fluidampr pulley. I do not want a Fluidampr pulley. I have no place in this thread.

Best,
AB
