But they still weren't ready when I got home and still not ready when I got to starbucks a while ago, after a cop yelled at me over his PA, "that's too loud!". So I eased off the loud pedal having hit three grand in first off the light. Yeah, it's f'in loud. At least he didn't pull me over.

Running around with an out of date registration sticker cuz the shop lost the last one is kinda nerve wracking around here. Can't get the new one for December '17 until it passes inspection (all electronic now) and I have until the end of the year for that but would like to get it done asap. Hoping the C and O monitors go ready before tomorrow afternoon's appt for inspection.

Then I can wander the roads with a little less wracking of nerves to get the 500mi in for LSD break-in.

LSD self destructed last week, backed out the rear mounting bolt, blew the left axle seal, and vibrated out one of the axle mounting bolts. Hoping it hasn't damaged the subframe.

Replacing it with a Diffs Online 3.91 LSD, 3 clutch, 30/90 ramps, and full REM polishing. Also replacing the axles with Diffs Online race prepped axles. Have fuckin had it with PG.

Taking advantage of another bit of shop time to replace the single stage Burns earbleeder muffler with a two stage muffler, can't hurt.

On another subject, this is 300mi with Pagid RS29 pads

No problem. I just think something small is loose underneath the car that vibrates at the right frequency and wanted to compare. Maybe I'm crazy and am hearing things.

Shouldn't hear anything like that. Where are the hangers and do they use the stock elastomer parts?

Stock hanger's and location and if you mean the elastomer seal where the headers meet the exhaust yes those were installed. I think one hanger might be loose but I haven't had the time to check.

OK, no idea then but nothing should be loose at all, I think.

Update

Diffs Online won't be able to deliver the new LSD and axles until about mid January. And since the break-in is 1200mi it's unlikely to get to the dyno until March. Hoping the subframe hasn't been damaged.

One of the things that stood driving the car was the armrest getting in the way. The seat is so low and the wheel requires a lot more force than stock to turn but I had to rest my elbow on the armrest as it was about the only place there was any clearance.

So the front door panels gotta go. I can fabricate and install steel cable pulls like the shop did for the back doors so that's no issue. I think the switch panel can be left in the armrest and cut out to fit maybe in the recess of the door seal panel, maybe it has to be removed entirely from the armrest to fit, dunno yet. The passenger side switch can simply be cut off and discarded.

Shouldn't make it any louder and it'll kill some more weight with the speakers going away. Really no way out of it at this point.

March

Hopefully the second time around will be without issues. I'm surprised that you still have speakers in since you removed radio and other stuff to reduce weight. (Maybe I misread what you wrote thou).

But the upside here is they are a pretty proven product and you should be golden for years to come...unlike some other products out there.

Do they have those door pulls for the E90 like they did for the E36/E46?

Yeah, sucks. Maybe earlier if 1200mi goes by more quickly.

The door panels from another car were installed after selling the interior but well before taking the radio out and you have to pull the door panels to take out the speakers. The subs and the speakers in the rear deck were removed along with the ones in the rear doors as those panels were never replaced.

Won't miss the PG disasterdiffs that's for sure.

No idea what door pull you're talking about, got a link?
