Today, I had this weird phenomenon that I only read about on the forums before happen to me. Phenomenon that i am referring to is called---"Bike falling off the stand". 11 years I been riding and never had a single garage mishap, I stood there motionless thinking "Wtf just happened here? Did my Pitbull shit the bed?". I am never moving a bike while on a stand again, not even an inch. Gixxer fell on top of cardboard boxes and sustained zero damage.

That sucks man. Yeah it can happen to the best of us. Glad bike sustained no damage. You were probably thinking, hey those cardboard boxes I never got outta here finally came in real handy!?

My boy Jay already sold his '11 S1 for the HP4, I have no clue why he did that.

Seriously? The 12' S1 is even better than the 11' model and on top of that the HP4 is even more improved, if that was even possible. Apparently it is.

Love that HP2 boxer. Must be smooth as balls and torquey. Too bad it fails in so many ways...

Thing is though, me and him both got everything that Ohlins offers for S1s on our bikes. All go-fast bolt-ons, tuned and everything dialed in. I can't see it getting getting much better than that. We will see what he says after his 1st trackday on it.

In what ways does it fail?

That's one cool looking bike! I've been looking for a bike that will last a lot of miles and the boxers fit that bill.

Too expensive for the performance. Sure, it's hand-crafted. Horizontal boxer = no lean angle at all. About 130 HP out of a liter-plus engine. Quite pathetic really. It's more art than sport bike; a collector's item, if you will.

Are you using extended bars? I'm looking at these pics, and there's a lot of exposed handlebar inboard of the lever, and I wondered whether you ride with wider bars or if it was just the absence of controls that made it look that way.
My bike has bar controls in that same spot on the bars.

Well they are aftermarket clipons, they might be a tiny bit longer but not by much.

Its mainly the absence of the turn signal/horn control assembly making it look longer. Also I use Renthal kevlar grips, which are about a half inch shorter than normal grips.
