I'd seen this picture a while back in a FB group I'm in. Pick out one subject in a group of racers and get only them in focus. I never get a chance to do that because most of what I do is either individual or just a few. But this last weekend I had just that chance and tried it out.
The trick is you have to shoot at a slow shutter to get motion blur of the other racers and they all have to be doing something different than your subject. So corners are you best bet to make this work.

I just happened to get lucky on my first try.
Didn't really get another chance to try again.

Can someone explain to me exactly how this level of tagging is accomplished?

It has four wheels so it could be in the cool vehicle thread but it is powered by a Harley V-Twin so it could go in the cool bikes thread. I'll just call it cool and post it here.
I think the Gulf colours work well on it too.
