those trips sounds awesome that reminds me of the ones that i saw on the speed channel. they had it in hawaii, theres were 5 different supercars that you drove throught out the day. pretty tits

just trying to gauge interest I guess, quite a project to put together I guess to make it easy to make the trip/stay somewhere, and we figure that a lot of people arent going on a trip like that alone, and like we've been discussing here...gf's dont exactly love the car stuff...so its interesting trying to strike a balance between the two...

anyone have any places theyve wanted to go (auto wise?)...gotta focus my researching a bit better

i dont think thats offered on all bmws. i know my buddy's dad bought a 6 series and they offered it to him. it might be offered only at certain price points of cars or if you are a repeat customer.

well I think you save like $850 bucks (or whatever the destination charge is) on doing it this way so it totally pays for your gas and a hotel on the way back.

yep thats correct, however with the flights over, hotel stay and driving costs to a port and then flights back to the states.. that 7% gets used up pretty fast, even though its worth it, but its also a bit time consuming, not something you go do for a weekend ya know?

with the PDC, you fly in the night before, do the driving school in the AM, pick up your car after lunch and cruise home so you really only need 2-3 days... plus everyone speaks english.

my sales rep. said they didn't waive that destination fee, he's a dumb bitch. how does it work with the ED delivery? fly there do whatever and they ship it over for u?

yep... they used to do a deal with Lufstansa (sp?) where you'd get 2 round trip tickets at 1/2 price. You go to pick it up in Munich and you can drive around Europe for a few days/weeks and drop it off at one of like 12 ports all over Europe to be shipped back to the states. All the costs of travel and shipping and whatnot usually about equal what you save on the car so its basically a free trip to see Europe for a while.
