i have a company tats tuning it for me, they just dont think puttn in a 3 stage intake manifold and reflashing it just like a 330 will work or sumtn... iono, isnt that all the other guy did, just reflashd it with 330 engine properties? but first i really need this manifold. thanks again.

i dont think you just need to reflash it with 330 software i think you need to reflash it with a custom tune that makes your car think its a 330 (im not sure but i think theres a small difference)

do you have any friends with a 330, longshot but maybe put theres on yours and have them say somesome stole their intake manifold while it was parked out on the street (kinda funny and the dealer will prolly know it didnt happen like that but what can they do)

does anyone know of any 330 junkers, theres tons of 335's online but no 330's

wow nice find, between those cars we have to be able to source at least one for whoever is willing to seriously take this on

not ur avg 3, are you gona contact them and go through with it or are you unsure since your shop said it might not work?

heres the thing fellas... i HAVE to go thru with this, and very soon. bcuz my car inspection is coming up in October, and i have a check-engine-light (car needs service) light on, due to the installation of my SS headers. So in order to get rid of that light, and pass inspection, i need to get software, which this company by the name of ESS or sumtn is comming out with real soon. Now since im already getting the software done, i figured y not do this 330 conversion while im at it.

So, i dont have much time to get this done if i want to, thats y im looking for a cheap and efficient way to get that 3stage intake manifold, and the ideas yall have been comming up with are great, but i need to look into them more, ive been real busy lately so sorry. is there anyway to find out if one of the those junkies have a normal one forsure, then i can go ahead and get it, instead of waiting to find out?

As far as the reflash goes, i still am a bit confused on it, and when i askd the only other member that did the conversion, he said: We'll I got all the parts I needed from RichP, so sorry I cant help you with part numbers or things like that. However you wont need any specific screws or things like that. Just re-use your existing hw.

Evotech in Germany (trough Creative) re-flashed my 325 ECU with 330i engine parameters, works fine. Both ECU's 325i and 330i share the same part #.

You do not need to have the keyfob programmed at the dealership, as long as you use the same ECU that is in you car now. But if you want to use different ECU unit than the one in your car right now, then you need to see the dealership for keyfob programming.
Anyhow, if you can solve the 330i flash issue you will be golden. It's a very straight forward swap."

and so i guess its just reflashing the same ecu i have right now with 330 engine peramiters, watever that really means, but im sure the company knows, as long as they get the process, which ill try to get in contact wit them thru my shop. i shud have some free time this week to try to settle this about the reflashing, in the meantime, ill try to look for the intake manifold, and if any of u guys know how to come up with one cheap/fast, plz PM me. once again, i hope this will work as much as u guys do, and my shop can get a dyno as soon as i get this done for all of u guys, and its money from there

i would say that you should try using that website and calling some of those places that are listed, i tried calling one just now but they didnt pick up, theres a place in new mexico that has a few 330's and should probably be able to get you one, i would just say that you should call tom during business hours and hope it all works out

Is there a reason no one has suggested getting in contact with a manufactur of aftermarket intake manifolds and trying to see if they could make one. Just a thought.

i guess you dont know what the intake manifolds on this car look like, they arent something that an aftermarket company could easily make or would want to make.

there has to be an easier way to find this part, and for cheap. bcuz before i can do the flash i needa install the 3stage manifold in first. does anyone know how member RICHP got his to begin with? im sure michael (ksfrogman) knows...

maybe you could go to the dealer with the part number and just order it. with bmw's new performance part division, we can only hope theuy offer the pkg upgrade sometime in the near future.

plan on buying the intake manifold and parts and going to go to shop to discuss about the tuning on the ecu for 330 programming...
im still shockd that no vendor has put together a package for us non-330 owners...

You guys know that Turner Motorsports has this conversion complete, right? I don't know why you are saying that no tuner has the software or a package yet... Turner does. THe only thing is that they priced it high enough so that most people won't pay.

This is what Will Turner said, long after they had the so called package on their web site:

Sorry for delay.

At this time we don't have the software for what you are asking for finished. We are working on it , but it might not be ready for a while.

What you can do now... is purchase the Stage 1 software and install the 330 manifold - it will run great and will offer a lot more top end power... The software is $769.

i thought this was tried about 8 or 9 months ago and the problem was that it voids the warranty. wanted to do this when i was stationed in Germany 06 ordering my 325. tech said best way to do it since i was ordering there was to have it built that way. other wise the ecu the intake and the timing has to be right with out blowing it up. wanted to do this but saving up for a supercharger since i get my car back from the mrs. when i put bootz on ground. has anyone tried the supercharger on the E90/E91 because the damn 320 with the tuned chip are hauling down the autoban.

well they have the STAGE 3 for the 325i which uses the 330i intake manifold and a high-flow exaust manifold and gets a little more power than a 330i... 262hp
