Finally last night I got the 335 back and drives and steers butter smooth after both tie rods were replaced and fresh alignment was done. All DSC and ABS/BRAKE warnings have disappeared and I am back to where I started Gary@TR managed to get the wheel in 2 days so I am back on the road! Duss provided great service I will probably won't forget! Total Tally: $400 (alignment/front left & right tie rods) + $300 (new wheel Rial Salerno + WS70) Hope this will help future pot hole pounders and curb rashers in calming down after the incident because sometimes it looks worse then i really may be Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to ya all! |

I did not realize that you have "Rial Salerno" rims, so I will pass this on based on my experience with those rims. (I have them also). They tend to bend and crack easily. I bent two last winter after hitting a pothole and two other friends (in Toronto) with those rims also had bent rims during last winter. Based on my experience, I would not recommend anyone buying those rims. So be warned that they will crack/bend on you again if you hit another pothole at any speed. I will be changing all four of mine before next winter, as I know that they will be damaged during the winter season as they look great, but they are IMHO a "piece of junk" Cheers

Sorry to hear about your experience, but I'd chime in that I have those same wheels and have had no problems, and they are by far the most recommended winter wheel on these boards and I've never read anything bad about them from the dozens and dozens of people that run them; and Gary at the Tirerack probably wouldn't recommend them if they were "junk".
Perhaps you just need to watch where you're going Any rim will get bent if you smash into a huge pot-hole at speed. |

Opinions on "Autovation" in Stittsville?
Hi. I'm new here, but learning a lot.
I'd be grateful for any opinions you folks might have on Autovation in Stittsville (autovation dot ca) with respect to getting general maintenance work done on BMWs? |

I once asked the city of Ottawa to "provide" all pothole troublespots so I could incorporate their GIS data onto my GPS but they were very stiff-upper lipped about the issue citing "irrelevant to city planning needs".

It's a shop where dealers send in there work when they don't have the expertise and they mainly deal with business/dealers. Here is the info: SRM Auto 1645 Comstock Road 613-741-0080 Hope this helps our local members. Wishing everyone a Happy and Prosperous 2012! |

hey guys new member here, just wondering if you guys have installed any hid's in your fogs, I bought a kit from ddmtunning.com for my 2006, but shortly after installing them, they will go on for a minute then short out, I see some people in other threads adding capacitors to the harness itself, any idea's suggestions ?
