Nope. All you gotta do is turn your wheel so you have access to the console cover that's there. It should be a cover with two turnable access points.

Take the cover off
and reach in to unplug both the headlight and foglight bulbs & just replace with your new ones.

Use a coin to take off the cover and same to put the cover back on.

so i've been thinking:

AC rear with conventional quads, Hamann Side Skirts and potentially a Rieger or Hartge front, Technik CSL trunk. What do you guys think?

ACS rear & Reiger front, yes

hmm, i don't tihnk there's much else out yet. there's the mkit from tokion or the mtech kit from bmw for side skirts. i'll probably wait and see if anything else comes out that's worth while for the coupe.
