So just an update on my car... got a muffler delete New Year's Eve!! its sounds great and glad to know that heavy muffler is gone now! anyways I will make a video of how it sounds when I get some free time..
ohh and go to bass pro and get some duck hunting gloves, They are waterproof so its great to be able to dunk them in buckets utilizing the 2 bucket wash method!
also going to Sugar Mountain monday jw if anyone else is?

How were the slopes yesterday? Ive never been skiing around here, but looking to go soon... is Sugar Mountain the best place to go?

Sugar Mtn IMO is the best place to go in NC. If you are into the terrain/skate parks, App Mtn would be a better bet.

I went to Sugar Mtn on the 2nd. Conditions were alright. It had rained the day before so the mtn was kind of slushy until around 330-4 where as it started to ice up. It was in the 40s so it wasnt very cold.

Sugar Mtn is the only place I have been to in NC other than Hawk's Nest and that was horrible. (got a concussion due to poor maintenance on the slopes!.) Sugar was very nice but started to ice up on the black diamonds which sucked because you cant carve at all just slide haha. But I would def. suggest Sugar. Check out Winterplace that is also very nice.

I havent driven my car in almost 3 weeks, and this evening I thought it was a decent nice to take it for a spin. Well within 2 miles from my apartment I get a speeding ticket on 15/501 in Durham!! I couldnt believe it... the cop said I was goin 66 in a 45, but wrote me down at 60. I really dont think I was goin that fast especially since I just left my place and my car wasnt even warmed up yet haha. I didnt argue with him, just tried to be polite and courteous. Didnt get me anywhere cause I still got a $175 ticket haha.

But my question is, I have a court date for 2/11. The cop said to me "this isnt a trial date or anything like that, but if you go they will help you out." Ive only had one other ticket, but in any other case similar to this I would normally just pay the ticket and be on my way. But now that he said "they would help you" Im thinkin maybe I should just go. Regardless of what they say there I wont pay any more right? Is there any negative side of showing up at court?

Yeah, if you go to court and talk to the DA he/she will usually reduce your ticket to 9 over. Just be pleasant and state the facts of the situation.

BTW, new BMW owner checking in from NE Charlotte. I was looking at a 2011 535i MT but after driving a few cars, found that I liked the 3 a whole bunch more (the electric power steering on the new 5 is really awful). Also found that the 328i has enough power to keep me happy (it's always more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow) and so that's where I ended up. It's alpine white with beige Dakota leather and burl walnut trim and is absolutely beautiful!

Thanks man... And congrats!! 328 is definitely a fun car to drive, maybe think about getting the BMS Powerbox to get rid of the slight lag in the acceleration and it will be great!

Yeah.... they will drop it below 10mph so it will not affect your insurance rate. But if you get another one or you've had a moving violation prior (within 3 years), then it might affect your insurance rate.

This has happened to me in the last two years. My insurance rate did stay the same, and I just went down there and they reduced my 14 MPH over to below 10mph.

You will pay the court cost of course.

Definately go M sport! If you need OEM grills, I have an extra set.

Know anyone w/a sedan that's done this? I tried deleting the resonator - Had it put back on immediately. I'm ok w/the sound now, but I want something a little deeper, "throaty'r" and have been told an exhaust upgrade won't really be that much difference.

I do not know anyone with a sedan that has done it but I have heard some on youtube and they dont sound bad. Have you listened to the youtube clips for sedans?

I've heard deleted resonators and that's where I got the idea to delete mine. It sounded good on youtube, but sounded awful on mine. I haven't run across any sedans w/either a modded or aftermarket exhaust that I like.

I'm not familiar with the sound of deleting the resonator, but I have the bmw performance exhaust upgrade and it definitely has a more "throaty'r" sound.
