monday i saw that savage bmw had exhaust tips in chrome and black for cheap (had it up as a set of two instead of each) i called to confirm and they said yup, thats the price. i go down and try and buy the set. they said it was an error but would honor the prices because i called and confirmed before i came. so i bought a set of black and chrome ones. went to install and they were the wrong ones (their site does not indicate part number so i searched by year and model).

i went back today to be like "wrong tips, can i get the right ones?" hes like sure but we dont make black ones for your year and model. im like thats coo, just refund it and straight swap for the correct size chrome. hes like okay, you owe us $18.00. im like what? i should be leaving with the correct sized chrome tips and $32. how do i owe you money?

the parts guy was coo about it but was sticking to his guns. his sup got involved and i ended up leaving with all my money back and the correct chrome tips that i think go for $70ish. i let them know, im not trying to get these for free. i just want them for the price advertised. they were like keep them courtesy of Savage BMW. i was not gonna argue that any further.

i told my CA to not wash my car which means i have to do it myself

i forgot what i need to do, or get.
i think i need clay bar and wax, but the residue that's gonna come on the car i forgot how we got rid of it on my 335 before... JT u remember?

Basically I think the washes didn't work well and it's the polishes took the stuff off like Picus indicated. He indicates a 50/50 alcohol/water solution that works.

New car that hasn't been prepped I would do the 50/50 water/alcohol prep, clay, use paint cleaner (and AIO product), and wax. Probably won't need polishing. Then I would Scotch Guard all the carpeted areas.
