hey guys
i was wondering if someone can tell me if anything looks wrong with my log
from what i think i "see" there are a lot of timing corrections
10 135i n54 FBO with VRSF inlets and outlets MHD stage 2+ 93 oct v10.0
Eldor coils and NGK 2 step colder spark plugs

https://datazap.me/u/dr777/fbo-inlet...-6-7-8-9-10-21

i even did a few rolling races with a friend who has a e92 n54 with downpipes and DCI with stage 1+ MHD and he was able to inch me out 2 out of 3 times
i dont expect to be that much faster but atleast be able to pull away from him
im not sure how much of a difference in power each stage has but maybe can help as some sort of baseline

no CEL or any codes

If you have hybrid turbos, you need a custom tune. This OTS map is only targeting ~18 to 14psi up top.

Too many timing corrections, I'm not sure why you are running 2 step colder plugs on a FBO car, they should be used on hybrid turbos pushing big power , otherwise Bosch OEM ones work fine, or 1 step colder at most. Your corrections can also be due poor fuel quality, coils etc as well

Just replaced boost solenoids and vacuum lines as well. Could this be wastegates? Not getting any wastegate rattle either

No codes, so I guess im asking where should I start looking? Boost solenoids? Someone was mentioning my wastegates might be the issue.

I will post a log this evening when I get the chance as well

Add some E85 or use a Octane booster to see if corrections reduce or go away,

They could be due to fuel, plugs, coils etc. Your IAT's look fine.

lol, I'm not paid for anything online. Just do it to help because I found most people can't be bothered to search for the basics, Maybe I shouldn't bother?

I think you love the N54 so strongly that you feel to help other people... but I feel you, N54 is something you fall in love with.... best engine I ever got.

Yeah admittedly got attached to it, it is the best engine I've had in a car, everytime I think about selling it relapse back lol. There is literally nothing available for similar power/performance/price at least not in uk. Paid 6.5k for mine about 4 years ago.

Yeah, bought mine (135i) with 60k 6 years ago, and still in love with it, and couldn't stand to seperate.... I got fun cars (M3 e46 included) but the N54 is so special... especially with the tuning potential, honnestly, never thought about selling it, but more like, buy another car, but this one, I won't sell it, it's a keeper. Does your still whining? mine still whine but still boost 18-20 psi.... so if it fails, it will have RB turbos, but I will never sell it.

I'm no expert but the boost isn't holding very well. Most likely boost leak or WG issue? What fuel are you running? your running the 95 oct map. I can see the target stays a bit higher then the 91 oct map I'm running (also v9 2+) Heres mine for comparison. https://datazap.me/u/curt/testing?log=0&data=3-5-21

i am guessing I have a boost leak or vac leak somewhere but I would need a smoke tester to see it. I had bought one and should come in tmrw. yes 95 oct runs about .5 psi more i think. I was rubbing Sunoco mix that time and had 95 oct. I had replaced most of the vac lines other then the one going to the waste gates ( pita to reach). Im only able to guess i'm leaking from turbo to inter cooler side, but I would need to get the smoke tester in guessing.

Coils are brand new I swaped them when I had fewer timing corrections. I'm probably gonna assume bad gas.

Hi guys,

Just wondering if someone could have a look at my log and tell me if there's anything out the ordinary? MHD stage 1+ with the wastegate rattle fix set at 40%.

https://datazap.me/u/335icoe/335i?log=0&data=3-22

2006 335i n54 - mods - scorpion catback - twin cones - forge intercooler, sprint booster.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks

Looks fine, some timing corrections, you could try 91oct map

Intercooler not too good.
You rail pressure looks little weak, if your going to add ethanol later on, you might need to replace hpfp.

No plans to add ethanol anytime soon. The cars been running stage 1+ for 6 years now, maybe go to stage 2+.

For what reason try 91 octane, I use 99 Ron fuel ?

Thanks buddy

You've got a lot of timing corrections, although they aren't massive, they are accross several cylinders, using 95ron/91oct map with 99ron fuel will reduce your timing corrections if it's the fuel quality that's causing the corrections. No harm testing.
