If you're looking I would strongly urge you to look into 2post lifts rather than 4post lifts. Depending on what you are using it for, a 2 post could suit you better.

yeah that lift would be more ideally suited to WORK on the car but eventually it will also be a 3rd car storage spot too (feel better with the stability of that 4 post ramp setup. Plus having 2 huge ass beams in the middle of the garage would be weird, I think 4 corners is better on that side too. Plus these you don't have to bolt into the cement.

I'm only getting a 2.5 car capacity so the mrs will be parking right next to it so she's gonna have to approve also.

Yea, the 2post bolted in are plenty solid, just that for various load rating the depth changes. And it's a lot more permanent. For work (aside from the obvious complexities of having the wheels off) I can't tell you how many times I've cursed the wide drive up rails, impeding access underneath. Don't get me wrong, having a lift is great, but if I were building from scratch, a 2 post will be in the works from the get go. FWIW, storing a car on just the feet is totally fine (provided you are on proper jack points)

trust me 2 post is what I'd WANT, but probably not what I'm gonna get. Plus parking with those posts mid door would be a pain in the ass, much like the one in Al's when he's doing warm ups for Sunday Cream Club
