Nope, it has the stock limiters in place.

the 330i is actually limited to 155, but there are 4 different limiters (or 5, I don't remember exactly), selected based on coding/which model you have. the 328i and 325i get the lower limiters.

Hey guys, I went through this thread and hope I didn't miss any reference to this if it was mentioned... Is there a reason the MSV70 does not have a No Maf tune?

It does, but only the 330i. I didn't publish it for the 325i because there wasn't any demand.

Hello,

I´ve got a BMW E91 N53B30 325i with 218 HP.
I want to flasht the software from a N53B30 to get the 272 HP.

I know i have to reset the working hours to zero and change the powerclass in CAS and DME Modul:

Does anyone have experience with this ?

I've been over this before - you can't.

Well, technically it's possible, but it's also pointless. In order to change the working hours, you need to modify the program code. This still requires an RSA delete (so you can write your own files to the DME). And you need to know what part of the program to change, how to deal with the checksums, etc.

Since you need an RSA delete anyway - it's far easier to just write a calibration with the power class check disabled, and leave the CAS alone.

Very happy to say got the 3 stage manifold to install. Was very easy to install it comparing to taking it out which was hard. So how long does it take for the computer to adjust? Do I need to reset adaptations for the computer to get increased power fast or do I need to wait a few days?

It doesn't take long. I'd leave adaptations alone unless you're having a specific issue, and just drive it normally.

Semi-related to this thread but how do I make a backup of current config of my car. I found a local forum member who is willing to assist me in running the GM1912 software upgrade but I know there is a risk of bricking my ECU so I want to learn how to make a backup if things go sideways. From what I understand old E90's have better luck with the update but better safe than sorry (and takin the bus to work )

The "backup" is WinKFP.

Hi Hass,

was hoping you might be able to help me out. I flashed to Alpha N tune yesterday from regular 330i and am now getting these codes;

Any ideas? Put a Euro IAT in after I flashed, could it be bad?

Thanks in advance.

There's nothing wrong. Clear errors, restart car. They just pop up because you flashed the car.

2FA3 can either be ignored, or you can clear it by default coding 6BMOT in NCSexpert. It doesn't do anything except show up in INPA.

That cable will work for most DME flashing, but I wouldn't flash anything else with it (definitely not EGS). It will be a little slower, and definitely don't flash the E60 M5 or E90 M3 with it either.

I've got the "one-stop-electronics" cable that the bmw coding forum recommends. Will that work fine for everything, inc trans flashing?

Is the GM1912 update dead? The last post on Bimmerlabs was 8 months ago.

There is an issue with LCI cars because there is a change at some date that make the update not work. I have a Pre-LCI and Hassmachine pointed out the set of files that I need to use.

I cleared errors and CEL, drove for 10 min and restarted. Got the CEL and codes again, is there any way to get rid of the CEL if the codes are meaningless? Just a peace of mind thing

Only code that should be left over are the 2FA3 and the two disa valve codes if you haven't installed the intake manifold yet. Anything else is an issue that needs to be resolved

I thought/hoped they were working on a version to work with the newer LCI's. That transmission drives me nuts. I had the dealership update all the engine/transmission software a couple years ago for $160 and it was an improvement to the engine response, but the transmission still never knows what to do.

Trying to do this today, but I can’t see any files when I try to open via winkfp. I can see the files in the folder as a .7z, but I can’t unpack for whatever reason. What am I doing wrong?

The "whatever reason" is your problem. You have to extract the 7z file in file explorer before you try to open it in winkfp. If you don't have 7-zip you can download it free open source.
