Verizon XV5800 (or SMT5800) appears to be fully compatible:
All in all, seems great. This is a verizon private label version of an HTC phone, so I suspect the BT stack is shared and will work with many other HTC phones (e.g. t-mobile dash) |

Works on my e92. Full compatability. Your car being an 06 may need a progman update, but they will not do this for the Dare since it is not a BMW approved phone.

Verizon LG Decoy appears to be fully compatible w/my '08 e92. Address book downloads fine, and everything else (calls, signal strength, etc) work. Haven't tried swapping a call from the car to the phone yet, but everything else works fine.

FYI, I had my idrive software updated to the latest version and now my iphone seems to work fine. it takes a while to connect to the BT system (my old nokia used to conect very quickly, this takes about half a minute or so). but once connected it seems to work like a charm with full phonebook access.
so thumbs up form me. dave |

The nokia was a 6021(business phone). it worked with the earlier version, I have to admit I've not tried it with the new version, but I never wanted the BT for work, just for me

Just as a matter of interest, on the BMW list where it states limited compatibility - how limited is limited?
As an aside most of the phones on the list aren't even being sold nowadays |

so you have an insider that got you a preview before public release? As for G1, I'm AT&T Blue pre-merger, so I'm using an unlocked iPhone as well as other phones I rotate through when I'm bored. Waiting on the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1

Ah! I didn't realise the fin aerial was bluetooth connected had assumed it was hard wired from the phone adapter within the armrest. I had thought the only bluetooth connectivity was between the radio and the phone

Both the navigation antenna and the phone antenna is housed in the fin.
The radio's antenna is in the rear window.

I believe all antennas are located in the fin. They don't put in the rear window any longer.
