However, I'm still confused looking at the info on Real OEM. As I read this schematic ( http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...70&hg=63&fg=05 ), part #2 is the H8 55w bulb that is replaced by the Lux product (is that correct?), but it looks like there is an alternate "fitment" for the adaptive lights, listed as H3 35w. Or is the H3 bulb in addition to the H8 bulb on the adaptive lights? If so, do the adaptive lights work through the H3 bulb alone? |

The GP Thunder 8500 v2 picture is deceiving. I have them and they definitely do not look like that during the day from all angles. From a top or side angle the entire ring isn't always fully lit.

I know I'm a newbie, so that makes me stupid and a bad person, and swear to god I've tried the search function, but can someone tell me what wheels are on the graphite car above with the E92TT license plate on it?

I took that pic, and I think it provides a good indication of how the GP Thunder V2's are....the stock H8's have the same visualization issues, since they're really the same bulb, just a different color.

HELP!! So many topics and threads.
I'd like to upgrade my 2011 328 Sportwagon angel eyes to match the factory HIDs. Can someone please send me the link to the installation for a 2011 E91? I hear that I have to take off the wheels to get access to the bulb? To upgrade, do I only need to upgrade the bulb? or replace the entire angel eyes? And what is the verdict on the brightest bulb? |

This is a great post!
So far it seems ppl like OSS and Lux H5? Can anyone tell me why? Your personal reviews would be great on helping me decide what to do with my AE!! Also does anyone know *********? He did the "Custom E90 Ambient Light Controlledd LED Angel Eyes". Might go tht way to. http://www.youtube.com/embed/-kFNgelSXZk |

I read a few posts on AE replacements and their were mixed reviews on brightness. )one of the brands mentioned) I definitely don't want washed out AE's tht would get me pulled over bcause its too bright at night, especially here in LA. The set up tht you and ********* did would have been awesome but I don't think I have tht much patience or funds. I rather spend more on MODs. |

OSS Designs LED lights
I just installed the OSS LED angel eyes and blackout in my E92 and have been very impressed with how bright the LEDs are. They are bright enough on their own without using the fogs. They also give off a stronger white light than most plug-ins. Luis at OSS has been a tremendous help in making my decision to spend a little more and invest in the LED eyes. I also like the fact that the LEDS are rated to be 10,000 hours and should last longer than plug-ins. I've read multiple forums where plug-ins burn out fast. The downside is that you have to pull the bumper and lights out yourself of which there are many helpful DIYs took me about half a day to pull out and another half day to install. If you have the time, money, and patience I'd go with OSS.

i'm looking to replace my angel eye bulbs with something to match the xenon headlights. i don't want to blind oncoming traffic or pedestrians, but i want to change the color. from looking around, it seems like getting gp thunder 7500/8500k or mtec superwhite/cosmos blue will do the trick, but they all look pretty similar in pics. which bulb matches best with the xenons?

Photo taken at 2pm on a sunny day. I intentionally picked unflattering angles to show how dim the outer rings can be. The AE's are coded to run at 13.7v with headlights on. |

Read way too many pages here. Would love to be able to put in OSS or Lux, but it's a 3 year lease, so I am looking for a "cheaper" way to get a non-halogen-look halo.
Anyone ever hear of/ tried these from eBay: www.ebay.com/itm/260940523525 Thanks!
