Swapped my shift boot for a cleaner subtle look...yes, it's an automatic, yes I can drive manual (former CTS-V1 owner) and yes those are crumbs 😴😂

Driving through the famed Cairo Ln in Opa-Locka. Imo one of the worst roads in south Florida. Makes me realize I need my front driveshaft back on.

I'm doing the same thing! I got the M Performance Manual shift boot from Turner Motorsport, but I'm also changing the shifter to the F30 style LED shifter to really bring the look into current times. I'll post once it comes in.

Looks good by the way

Thanks bro...trying to keep mine OEM+ and period correct for the most part. Be VERY careful with the wiring harness, etc in there. All the posts I've read warned it was delicate and all but, bruhhh...it threw Transmission and Throttle Body codes for a few days, surging idle, had to remove/re-flash tunes multiple times (MHD and xHP), limp mode, drive on it to reset, etc.

It's a 1999 528i. The drive is very similar between the two, I think that's why I like the e90 so much. E39 is hard to beat though, it just feels super solid. The 335i should be a bit better after putting in some stiffer suspension. Hopefully

Stock m52tu, almost 160k miles and smooth as ever. Most of the suspension bushings have been replaced with HD Meyle. Sport springs/shocks replaced with Fortune Auto 500s/Swift springs about 60k miles back. E39 handling on a smooth road is a dream, so much better than e90 on stock sport suspension. Rougher roads the e39 feels like it is going to explode.

Wait what. I've always heard the e39 handles like a 3 series E9x but didn't know it was this prominent lol

last summer days in the PNW

Lowering my kw1 coilovers in the rear soon. Anyone know about bump stoppers? I hit a pothole and apparently my rear fender scrapped against my rim according to the wheel shop. It caused a nasty curb rash that looks like it happened from parking
