Aggressive does provide more power and torque... however, why on earth would you be pushing he car when it's below 2Krpms? These engines are torque monsters but jeez you still need to keep the revs at least above 2.5K before you requesting full load.

Guess i didn't really think that one through lol. Thanks for the response. Any idea how large the gains are between sport and aggressive?

Lol it's all good
In ideal conditions it probably averages about 20hp/tq between the two.

If you have access to 93 then go ahead and flash on over to aggressive and give it a day or so to adapt and then log it to see how the car is doing.

Firmware update new Cobb

How long does the initial firmware update take on a new Cobb AP? I installed my new Cobb unit on my car and everything went fine. However I then plugged it into my computer and ran AP Manager and the AP Manager now indicates "downloading updater files: 4.0 mb/ 4.0mb." It has been stuck at this screen for over 15 minutes. Does it normally take this long to update the firmware? If no, how do i stop it without messing something up. I'm unable to click on manage, updates, options, ap info, and eject AP. Thanks in advance.

Per my post above, or is the update done and there is no confirmation that the update completes?

Here are a couple of 3rd gear pulls, if you could have a look at them and see if my car is happy.

Check your timing correction column . They should be 0 or max 1-2 non adiacent cylinders with - values .

It doesnt look you ever went WOT
Accel pedal position never goes over about 35%. You need to hammer the throttle and hold it there.

I started logging at about 2000 rpm in 3rd. Then accelerated gradually until it shifted by itself at about 6700 rpm in the 1st log and 7000 rpm in the second.

Its a turbo engine , you cant treat it like aspirated. Stomp on it!

And let it shift 3rd > 4th and 4th > 5th?

I would let out at the top of 4th. You'll be doing ~130mph at that point, very sketchy on public roads.

Alternatively, you could also do a 2nd > 3rd and let out at the top of 3rd to make it safer.

Allright, another datalog question. I'm wondering if this looks fine, I'm worried about the drop to 0 on cylinder one, but I thought it's supposed to drop then climb? Anyways, if anyone could shed some light if things look good, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: Oh and I was wondering also because in the logs (you can't really see it in the graph) but theres a 3 degree timing correction on cylinder 5 and 6 that tapers to 0. How significant is this? Is this map ok to run? Its the Stock Throttle, Stage 1 Drive, V 401 Beta in 30% Humidity, 100 degree, 3000 ft elevation, on 90 octane. Like as bad as it gets.

The occasional timing correction isn't a huge deal. Yours doesn't look too bad.

What about the fact that my requested load is about 10 points higher than my actual load? Is that normal?

EDIT: Is that due to the temperature and 3000 ft elevation? I'm sure my DA was a good bit higher than 3,000 feet. But is that what causes the fact that I can't meet my requested load?

I would say you're spot on with DA and your load

FWIW I'm at about 5400ft and run 20-30 less actual load than requested load, even though the WGDC says I'm hitting the boost target. So I think it does reduce target boost at elevation from that required to hit the load target.

Well great... Haha, after here I'm off to Socorro, NM (4600 ft) for a bit, and then after that I'm scheduled to head to Albuquerque (5400 ft). But I can't complain, nice not having that anemic feeling going from sea level to mile high like I did with the 325. Thanks for the help and looking at the logs guys!
