Pulled the trigger on a set of 437M wheels. Unfortunately, the stock 255/35s rub in the front, so I'll be getting 235s. The rear 275s seem fine for now.

Got a puncture on the motorway

Found the object

But it wasn't until i went to the tyre shop and discovered just what it was!

Can only assume that the front tyre flicked it up and then my rear tyre went straight over it.

Power steering fluid flush (topside diy)

335d, ps tank labels the system as being of the "atf only" variety

Took almost full 1 gallon of Walmart Supertech DEX3 ($12) to flush out the burnt coffee to frothy hot chocolate to cloudy tussin to finally clean red ATF

Method: 60 cc catheter syringe, syphon out tank and refill, close start car spin steering wheel back and forth from lock to lock like 8 times, turn off, repeat....

Drains ~500ml per round

Change in steering: EXTREME

I used a ramp and then jacked the rear until the car was level. The best way to check for level is put a magnetic level on the pan, I also checked for level in the trunk as it flat. None of the body panels are level, so those can be misleading.

For those living in Canada, Canadian Tire carries Dexron VI and it states that it is licensed by GM to produce it. It is $7 / L, much better than the $15/L BMW wants.
Even walmart has DEXRON 6 (and Mercon LV for the ZF 6hp trannies)

You want quiet, get goflat Pirellis.... sooo smooth

Albeit they don't last for shit though lol (although they die non-catastrophic and can be driven a few miles at 20-30mph with 0 psi despite not being RFT badged)

I finally ditched my offbrand (Minerva) run flats after 35k.

I went for Goodyear Eagle rsa. The ride and handling is such and improvement over the RFTs. No more road noise, better grip and more comfort. I wish I hade made the switch from day 1!
I also got nitrogen in my tires. I'll see if it actually makes a difference, but hey, for $50 it's worth a try.
Wth????

You found tires that lasted 35k on an E90????

...or is that kilometers and/or a 320 and/or unstaggered and religiously rotated?

My Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus tires lasted I think 35xxx miles. That's one hell of a tire!
