My late sister lived in Orlando and would always taunt me in the winter when they had what she called "Chamber of Commerce Days." Blue skies, warm temps, light breezes.

Today was such a day here. Perfect for cycling. Repeat coming tomorrow.

Yesterday was a remarkably beautiful day with temps in the low 80s -- just perfect. In October, we normally have the rains begin -- but this year just a shower or two. The forecast now is for 70s.

Will Mother Nature extract revenge on us later?

Cooler weather is coming. Fall weather for us is right around the corner.

Tonight's walk will be nice. Temp will be 75/74. Looking forward to it.

Expecting some overnight freezing temps next week. This morning was low single digits.

I think it's time to swap the pilot sports for the blizzaks. Friday is supposed to be nice enough to work on the car outside, so that's the plan.

Fall seems to be short lived going from summer weather to near freezing in what seems like 2 weeks.

1/2 of our trees haven't even turned colour yet...

Welp, we lost power and spent about 15 minutes in the laundry room as a tornado passed by. Hearing it touched down in the next neighborhood over and uprooted some trees. Hopefully everyone there is ok.

I was out setting up the generator and a fire truck and 4 rescues passed by. Apparently it also touched down in our neighborhood a few blocks away and uprooted trees and ripped some roofs off. Thankfully it wasn’t our home but very sorry for the neighbors affected.

Our overnight low this morning was a nippy 34.0 F, or 1.1 C for those who live in countries that don't use measurements based on the shoe size of long-dead kings. Coldest it has been since the spring, and chilly enough where I almost turned the boiler on for the first time this season. Like clockwork, summer has ended once again on October 10th.....

The NWS just issued a frost advisory for overnight here!

It has been drizzly with highs in the 50's F here for the past two days, and I just fired up the boiler for the first time since spring to make sure that it works and also burn off all the smelly dust from the baseboard radiators.....

Mine is central heating/air conditioning and it always smells a little when using the heat for the first time in fall/winter.

Speaking of, fall is finally here; 72°F right now with a high forecasted to be 76.

Overnight lows this week in the high 30s and low 40s. Switching to my winter wheels and tires right now. My evil twin is on her way. I hate that bitch.
