OK settings changed. I wrote down what I had, put on Matt's proposal, listened to it a bit and made a few changes - cannot stand that amount of treble and need more bass for my trance

First one on left is what Matt had, (second is what I had before I changed them) and third is my current setup

Bass +4 (+7) +6
Treble +5 (+2) +2
Balance 0 (-1) 0
S Vol 1 (1) 1
Music selected instead of Cinema (Music) Music

EQ set

80Hz - 6 bars (8) 7
200Hz - 5 bars (7) 5
500Hz - 2 Bars (3) 2
1KHz - 2 Bars (3) 2
2KHz - 4 Bars (7) 4
5KHz - 5 Bars (7) 5
10KHz - 7 Bars (11) 7

Yeah I listen to a lot of rock. The problem is that rock music and classic rock punch really hard....and it distorts the speakers with too much bass when I turn it up full volume.

The problem with the mp3 player through the AUX jack is that the volume is very low, have to put it on the loudest from the mp3 player and then turn the volume up a lot from the car. Otherwise it is pretty OK.

Never turn your mp3 player's volume all the way up. It will sound nasty. The highest you should go on the volume is 90%.

Try that, I guarantee you it will sound 100 times better.
