hi guys

Somebody has an idee about timing dip below 3500rpm I have with V8/9/10 on E30 and E50?

No probleme with V7 E40 but I'm looking for less boost so i would like to use V9 E50.
I can feel the power coming hard when timing is recovering normal value above 3500rpm. Sometimes I feel that timing is ok and car is much more smooth and powerfull between 2500-3500rpm. Would like to be always ok.

This is on 2+ e30 and targeting only 13 PSI?? Somethings off with that tune. Also you're under boost target during pretty much the whole pull. Your short term trims are pulling fuel as well.

I'm using 2+ with mhd power slider set @85%
Thats why i'm only targeting 13psi.

E50 trim are Always around -10% during wot on V8/9/10. i have to run e70 to make my stft around 0%.I think MHD let us more Space to run e85 on e50 Map on those maps.

Anya idee for timing dip AT low RPM ?

Try 100% power and see if it helps fix it. Your logs look fine. Possibly pulling timing to meet 13PSI threshold.

Are you mixing your E85 with 91 octane or 93? Try adding some octane booster and see if it helps. Your logs look fine and your cylinder timing corrections are fairly normal..

I'm runing 100% e85 on this last tank. Thats winter here so e85 IS probably more e70.

But even with e50 mix made with 93 oct i have same problem.

hey all, i recently have been doing logs to make sure everything was as it should. i noticed that my boost is tapering down quite a bit below target. i know its normal for it to drop near red line but this seems like alot and its never done this before looking back on previous logs. I have checked for boost leaks but cant find anything. the only thing i changed right before i did logs was the charge pipe with a Tial BOV. also heard that without a proper 1/4 fitting it could give me boost issues so i bought the BMS vacuum line adapter and used a 1/4 hose still the same result.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I did notice the choppy rpms it might be a traction issue, dont have any codes. Sometimes when I accelerate too hard from turns I get really bad wheel hop but I haven't had a chance to inspect the rear suspension. As far as the boost leak I do remember they did not provide me a o ring for the charge pipe so i ended up reusing mine you'd think after paying almost 400 it would be included. Gonna order one and replace it to see

Update: took a look at the bungs on the charge pipe and they seemed loose I put some thread sealant tape on them and tightend them up but it didn't fix my issue. I had another thought though extreme could this be a sign of failing turbos? Car has 132k and to my knowledge is on the orginal turbos. When i have time I might swap out the charge pipe to the other one I removed to rule out the charge pipe

Try a WOT pull from 3rd gear 3k RPM minimum, it looks like you're starting the pull at a little under 2.5k RPM. You also have slight throttle closure due to overboosting.

Got it ill try that. Also found the boost leak on the outlets. Honest very disappointed with these aftermarket outlets gonna go back to oem. Pain in the ass to install just for them to leak 😒

Update installed the oem outlets pressure tested it and no leaks went and did another log but same thing same curve down

Another update: took the downpipes off and now I'm another victim of wastegate failure. Had a good amount of play so gonna work on getting that fixed

Hello everyone

Been chasing this issue and I am looking to see if someone has tried something similar.

Mods:

Upgraded Twins, 4x HJS cats, intercooler, pipes, air filters and such. Engine is built (rods+pistons) + head ported and schrick cams.



The car has been running this setup last year and runs fine, but always had an issue trying to keep the steady RPM above RPM steadily, at standstill, this is required during emission testing, and the test is coming up this year.

I've logged on this, trying to log different stuff parameters to see more but no luck.

Whenever I go above 2k RPM it just wants to go higher and RPM keeps going up without any further accelpedal input. You'll see in logs keeping it at steady pedal input -> throttle opens more and RPM rises.

Attached below is 3 logs I did, 2 almost identical, but different stuff logged and the last one I tried turning off linear throttle input, but did not help either.

That an issue in the tune. Target load is increasing at steady pedal position. Try going back to stock.

Thanks for the reply, was also the way I was looking towards.

I flashed stock + 3.5tmap sensor and reset all adaptations. Let it warm up and slowly rising RPM. It is now much better.

Hello guys,

can you give me opinion on the state of my tune.
The car is 335xi with FBO. I'm running MHD Stage 2+ v10 maps.

What's concerning me are the ignition corrections. From other posts I understand that they are problem only on WOT, but what do you think about my log?

You have some throttle closure due to overboosting. Short terms are kind of all over the place during partial throttle. Possible slight vacuum leak?

Thank you very much for the reply SlowE92. Valve cover and PCV hoses were changed recently and maybe there is some issue when installing. Will check for leaks.
Until then I'll drive with v8 maps as there seems to be less correction with them and overall boost is lower

Who did your tune? That actually looks like a pretty clean log to me. If they use commanded wastegate, your car is running just like it should.

To be honest, the corrections aren't that bad. Log looks clean besides the short term fuel trims and the slight overboost. Are you logging with traction control completely off? If you're running 91 on the 91 octane map then that would explain the cylinder timing corrections. If you were to throw some octane booster in or run higher octane im sure it would clear them up. Your wastegates look good thats why I said only a slight vacuum leak. Fuel trims are trying to compensate for the extra air.

Edit: Check plugs for fowling. Negative short term indicate the mixture is too rich and you are pulling fuel.
