Im a bit surprised in the sense I thought something suspension wise would break not the windshield, that being said I'm about to raise the car now so no worries I thought it was hilarious to myself that it happened.

All the force was transmitted to the body as there is no real 'suspension'. Likely your windshield had a small chip that allowed the force to distribute.

If Safelite is prepe'd in the correct way (tell them you want OE glass and that you're willing to pay for a new rain sensor $50) they'll more than likely do a great job for <$400. Just vet the person and let them know you're willing to bring it into their shop so the person most familiar with your car does the work. Also, removing the suspension travel and going to low profile tires tends to crack and bend wheels plus give flat tires. |

Thursday -- replaced the driver rear window regulator with a used Genuine BMW unit (regulator+motor). Works like it should but reprogramming the window wasn't fun.
Friday -- replaced the spark plugs and coils with new NGK plugs and Bosch coils. Prior to replacement, the car would have a fluctuation idle from 600-800RPM. Also, while stopped at a light (in DRIVE), it would feel like someone bumping into the back of the car. Now, idle is at a consistent 600RPM and car runs smooth. Sunday -- removed and painted the "chrome" trim around the windows. Tried to clean up the faded chrome but to no avail. The gloss black looks way better and matches the car. Monday -- replaced the pitted foglights with a new set of ZKW units. Also, replaced the leaking washer fluid pump. Yeah, I've been busy these past few days. LOL |

Not my car, but my friend's 328i. Replaced the rear shocks. Easiest job ever! We'll be doing struts in a few weeks. I've got a strut compressor, but I don't know if it can compress enough.
