Nope, it's stupid easy! The hardest part was probably getting the damn cap off the back of the headlight. Seriously not hard at all. I took my time and took a break halfway through to post up pics on here and it still took about an hour.

I would but I dont have a scanner at home and I feel pics would be too ghetto!

Sweet! I hope it'll be installed by meet time, I'd like to hear it.

How much did that run ya?! I was planning on getting an exhaust like that but ended up just going for a simple muffler deletion.

Yeah,
The 335i's AT is the best and smoothest NON Dual Clutch tranny I've ever experienced. Normally, it's a big disadvantage with power and driveability with an AT, but I think the 335i's AT really shines and is fun at anytime any speed. If mine were strictly a track car, I'd obviously have a 6MT, but the majority of my driving is street point A to B, and I would like to take my boss out to lunch and have him/her not feel like they're in a racecar.

Best part of the 335is is the DCT.

Nick
The most hardcore porsche GT3s are still manuals. Auto boxes are no doubt getting a lot faster than manuals, but I would take a 6mt every time.

For me there's just something about driving a manual that makes driving more fun. It has nothing to do with the auto being a good transmission or not, or which is faster around a track. It's just more fun IMO.

And yes, I did get the performance exhaust... will be installed tomorrow.

This was how I've been. This was my first auto of 6-7 cars. I drive so much traffic that I thought it would be more suitable for me. Now I am regretting my decision. Don't get me wrong, I still love my 330!!

Interesting thing I learned today.

I decided to fill up my car tonight, so I pulled into the gas station and parked next to the pump. Wanted to pay inside since I wanted to buy some stuff in there and pay all at once. Gas station clerk said I had to come in and prepay OR slide my car because I don't have a front license plate.

The clerk told me that they need to see the plate of cars so that they can record if someone drives off w/o paying. Apparently, some gas stations do this. Next time I will park the other way so that they see my back plate.

My sentiments exactly. The ZF box in the 335 is an exceptionally good auto, I just miss driving a manual. Since I started driving an auto, my whole driving style has become more "lazy" lol. I miss the extra involvement.

Looking forward to hearing that PE! Will you be at Cars & Cafe at the weekend?

I completely agree that the autos of today are much faster than the manuals around the track. However, I would argue that 90% of performance car purchasers never track their car and in our day of boring highways, my 6mt lessens the boredom and makes the process a little more involving. Speed to me is a lot about feel and a manual has always "felt" faster to me. Perhaps, it is because of the anticipation between shifts

I agree, and even if I was in the 10% that do track (which I would love to be someday), I would still prefer an MT. I think it would be much more satisfying on the track.

We better be careful and not start another MT vs AT war thread lol
