Weekday meet ftw lol...whatchu guys think about the BMW performance exhaust? I love the sound and the fact that i don't have to worry bout taking the car into the dealership without an issue conflicting with the factory warranty but all that money for a axle back exhaust is worthless from a performance standpoint

The PE exhaust sounds amazing but in the end I couldnt justify the price...I even got Rahal to price match Tischer for it. I got my magnaflow installed last week and I love it. Total cost $500 installed!

As far as catback exhaust and warranty, the dealer should not give you any problems with a cat back exhaust, however, it may make them look a little harder for your tune!

I'm taking my car in for it's last factory warranty/maintenance stuff to be done. Getting the rear pads and rotors changed for free, oil change, wiper blades and a turn signal bulb all for free! They are also installing a modified CDV for about $100.

I should have the car back The 18th at the latest, after that i'd be down to try another meet.

Fellow Steeler fans, how are things going. My 09 335I X-Drive is getting delivered next week and I live in the south hills area. I suppose Bobby Rahl is going to be my dealership of choice to have warranty work done.

Can anyone give me any input on their service and the service advisors?

Id love for my experience with the BMW dealership to be much better than the poor customer service I received from Spitzer Acura in McMurray.

Thanks

You shouldnt have any problem with Bobby Rahal, every time I have been there they have done everything the could to help. Even pullin some strings to get me into 335 and X5 loaner cars instead of a 328 sedan. As far as Spitzer, I know know what you mean! My last car was an RSX Type-S, and I thought they were always scheming something against me, but whatever haha. Good luck with the new ride! Did you get a coupe or sedan?

And speaking of Steeler tickets, if anyone has some layin around I wouldnt mind taking them off your hands hahaha.

I had a 3M clear bra installed last year by...

Karen Baldauf

She was recommended by the Sewickley Car Store. She did a great job with the installation.

Yes, you can notice it installed up close, but not from far away. Funny, that is one of the first things people notice when they see my car up close... they ask what the line is across the hood.

Here are some pics of my car after the clear bra was installed:

To tell you the truth, not sure if I'd get a clear bra installed again. The clear bra itself is susceptible to scratches, watermarks, etc.

When I bought my car it had the bra on it. The car is AW and the bra was yellow. Only had it on for 1 day before I took it off couldn't stand to look at it. 7 hours to take it off, scrape all the glue off, clean and wax.

My brother has it on his silver M3 and you cant really tell.

yes there are many new products out, my buddy carries all the best products money can buy! It will not turn yellow and you will have to search to find it! It is really nice!!!
He just did a Mercialago (spelling) last week, he is Rahal's vendor along with many others in the area. You will not be sorry! He does probably 6-10 cars a month with no complaints.

Good eye actually it's the Library station Wheels are VMR VB3's super silver as for the tint I had a place in Bridgeville do it cant remember the name but they are on Vanadium rd they did a great job. Just put in a set of LUX 8's for the angel eyes they look awsome. Also have the JB 3 2.0 installed again a great product. I just ordered a set of KW V1's and will be selling my H&R springs soon if anybody is intrested let me know....by the way if anybody is think of getting the LUX 8's let me know they are a PITA to install I actually removed my bumper cover to do it i can talk ya through it.

I'm interested in your spings...

and the Lux's are definitely a pita to install! after about 35 minutes of trying to install one side I ended up using some fishing line and wrapped it around the slotted medal part kind of as a second hand and lowered it down and installed it.... The other side took about 5 minutes with this technique!

I have a service appt on Monday and don't know if I should take my lux's out or not.
