For the 325i stock form yields 215hp / 185 lb-ft tq
For the 328i stock form yields 220hp / 200 lb-ft tq

From what I could gather, this conversion paired with a tune would increase power to approximately ~265hp and ~225 lbft tq at the flywheel (stock 330i is 255hp/220tq) due to the benefits of the tune, minus the losses from a more restrictive exhaust system on the 25i/28i. Remember, 330i's have freer flowing catalytic converters.

This modification allows 325s to achieve at least ~40hp, and 328s to achieve at least ~35hpgains, rendering this upgrade the most cost effective for non-330 N52s.

I have seen more power yielded from this upgrade; it's dependent on the tune/tuning company you use.

Here are the parts with part numbers of what is needed (credits to e90pilot):

11617559523 Intake Manifold
11617559530 Vent Hose
11617579114 Adjustor Unit
11617560538 Adjustor Unit 2
11617547242 Gasket set
11617535850 x2 Screw 50x35
11617535849 x5 Screw 50x20
11617535851 x1 Screw 50x66

You can purchase them from these retailers:
http://www.realoem.com/
http://www.getbmwparts.com/
http://www.generalautorecycling.com/

**As far as warranty goes, the setup looks stock, sans the extra wires connected to the DISA valves, but the tune may be detectable. For this reason, I don't endorse completing this mod under warranty. Almost all 325's are out of warranty at this point, though, with 328's following suit.**

Pricing for new parts (as of 2010):

11617559523 $483.30 Fuel system - Fuel induction - Intake - Intake manifold Intake manifold, 330i, 330xi 2006

11617559530 $72.25 VENT HOSE

11617579114 $179.08 ADJUSTER UNIT

11617560538 $179.08 ADJUSTER UNIT

11617547242 $34.64 Fuel system - Fuel induction - Intake - Intake manifold gasket Intake manifold, 3 series, w/o diesel 2006 - 2009

11617535850 $0.62 SCREW (x2)

11617535849 $0.62 BOLT (x5)

11617535851 $0.62 SCREW (x1)

This equals a total of $953.31 through http://www.getbmwparts.com/ which is powered by Tischer BMW.

Further checking on realoem.com and bmwfans.info, the difference between 325i N52 N52N engines with 330i N52 N52N engines only on the intake manifold.
325i N52 as well as 325i LCI N52N use part number 11617559525, while 330i N52 as well as 330i LCI N52N use part number 11617559523, as mentioned above.
Other parts, besides the intake manifold, were used on 325i N52, 325i LCI N52N, 330i N52 and 330i LCI N52N.
In addition, the vent hose p/n 11617559530 were used on 325i N52 and 330i N52, while 325i LCI N52N and 330i LCI N52N used different vent hose.

That makes the modification less costly

You can buy these all day and night from your local scrap yard. There are about a million wrecked 328 & 330's out there. The entire assembly should cost you between $175-225 depending on mileage. There is absolutely no reason to buy this stuff new, except the gaskets in the intake runners and the TB.

Don't forget to look at X3's and Z4's and 530's and X5's... Lots of 3-stage manifolds to be had. I just did the swap yesterday, took the IM out of my 07 X3 and swapped between it and my 328. I'm trading in the X after winter and wanted to get the swap out of the way.

if done right without breaking anything is it not just the gasket set that is needed if you get a complete manifold with disa units?

Yes, I just did the swap using a 3im with disa's already installed and in excellent condition. The 3im I used also had a throttle body on it which I decided to use (and it works fine.) You'll probably want to get new throttle body gaskets if you plan to use your existing TB.

Random question but I got code p0444 after installing the 3 stage mani. Any idea why this was caused? Got emissions due and I can clear the code but it comes back soon after.

Try resetting the throttle adaptations. Turn the car on fully without starting and step on the gas pedal fully to the floor and hold for 28 seconds.

Also, check all your connections. There's a couple that are easy to forget.

The hose on the bottom of the manifold that plugs into the back of the head is also very likely to crack, that will cause issues.

Do you have a Carly Adapter so you can figure out what the code means?

I finally got around to doing this today, Ive had my stage 3 Manifold in a box for over a year. It is definitley a brittle fragile project.
Getting the far back bottom breather hose and electrical connectors off is a pain! due to having to shove your arm down and around manifold to disconnect. I took my time and actually got everything apart without breaking anything.... Until.... The last cheap plastic hose for the purge solenoid and snap! Dam $100 all because the cheap squeeze fittings bmw decided to use all over this thing lol. Im curious about switching these to rubber hoses with typical screw tight fittings....

Car is going to be down for a week while I wait on parts to come in so I can finish. JOY

Do the BPC tune. It is as good or better than any other tune available and you have all sorts of options available down the line if you want to make more upgrades. (MILV’s, Headers, etc)

After I flashed the 130i tune, I double checked the large DISA to make sure it opens correctly since I rebuilt it and I found it hilarious the car didn't even throw a CEL for my MAF being unplugged (or a gaping hole in the manifold)

Isn't it that the Euros run with only IAT sensors and no MAFs?
