Nope.

I've read some posts - seems like it could be thermostat and the cooling fan being broken.

I noticed when I lost power / limp mode in 2nd gear the fan was very loud. Also, the temperature gauge went from the middle back down a bit then back up so iono.

This is your brand new car right? Sounds like a Dealer Diagnostic is in order.

Sorry man.

If you haven't done so yet open the hood and look for any loose Vacuum lines on the right side of the engine. On the N54 engine I have heard of this issue before which cases the turbos to not pressure up. Grasping at straws here a bit.

Watch this video from Burger Tuning. It covers the install of the JB4, but also runs you through step by step removing the air cabin air filter and the Cowel. By watching how to remove you should be able to reinstall.

Hope this helps.

Great video! I might have to go out an try it again my only concern is I still have the check engine light / exclamation which I have no idea why, there was really only one hose I had to disconnect which was hose from the airbox.

My335it That hose is the vacuum line and would cause a check engine light. Try disconnecting and then connecting again. Let me know how the cowel panel goes.

Nsquared you need to have the dealer check that out.

Tried that and it just worked!! I got the cowel on finally I had to almost put it in vertical so it would click on! Everything is installed and working great! My only worry down the road is the one intake coming off lol it was such a b!tch to get in!

Thanks. Today it seemed to drive fine and when I went to the dealer the service/parts were closed so I didn't get a chance to get a scan. I will scan when I'm back in SLC at BMW of Murrary or something. Based on what I read its probably the cooling fan.

Going to see Jeff tomorrow at BMW of Murrary. Another problem rose up while I was driving. My gas tank lid broke... WTF.

1. Scan
2. Fix gas lid

They better give me a loaner.

1,000 miles, 1 week of having the car and I have so many problems... /sigh. Waited 3 months and the car was 19 days delayed... Ugh.

Be nice about the loaner. If you scream they won't give you one even if they have one.

My dad learned that the hard way.
