Yes and i m sure to 99% it is not the remap, but this new remap with litlle power and little more torque to take acount my fmic had put something pb in evidence but what? I will try to understand what could be hapen
What do you think about this?

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=14008678

My level 10 is working perfectly fine. Vdyno says 480-500 whp and about 500 pounds torque. Shifts very nice with alpina on all gears.

Enrita, I saw on the other forum that you were running Redline D6 ATF, How long have you been running it? Any shifting issues due to the thicker viscosity than ZF lifeguard

Out of curiosity, how many folks have actually had their 6AT crap out on them? I’m talking diff failure, or an outright refusal to swap gears under high load (4-5 shift comes to mind). At this point we have so many people running over 450wtq, I keep expecting to see more 6AT failures pop up…but for the most part it’s just snapped half shafts at the strip due to wheel hop. Lost Marine blew his up back in the day; a few other 500+ wtq folks have had high-load shift issues that Alpina flash may have resolved. Just anecdotally speaking, mine has held 430-450wtq without any issues for half a year, but it doesn’t love the 2-3 shift WOT. I understand 6AT is not identical from E8x to E9x, but the key components seem to be shared. OK brain dump over.

Just had Wedge do the flash for me. First off I want to say he is a great guy. He took the time to give me a call and explain things to me. He then guided me through downloading and installing the necessary software. We then setup a time for him to remote in and flash the software. Took all of 5 mins to do.

He then took time to show me how to use the coding software and actually did some coding for me. I can not express how happy I am with the results. Great guy and I would send anyone to him for help.

I don't think we'll have a solution here for quite some time. The software side of altering the TCU/Mechatronics to hold more pressure while having that play nice with the DME (some have suggested an MSD81 from an MT car) is just not happening right now. The hardware builders can do all they want, but the factory mechatronics will compensate and you end up with the same line pressure.

If someone was able to get to the bottom of the TCU, it seems to be very capable.

I think one of the main issues is no one really wants to give up drive-ability. I know I don't... I have to admit I had no idea that the Alpina flash would have such an impact on the AT community when I flashed my car... I also think for the vast majority of people, this is the best solution and will probably be the only solution unless you want to retrofit a 6HP26 from a 335d. But without coding it's hard to say if it would even hold the power levels if you can make it work...

My 6AT alpina flashed seemed to hold at about 640whp and 515wtq for a while.

I added meth, went to a proper boost controller(hallman pro) instead of the bleeder style and i started hitting full boost 25/26psi right at 4500rpm. this increased my wtq to probably 600 or so. (i mustang dynod on 22psi with this setup and say 542wtq lol)

Anyway the transmission started slipping out of 4th and 5th gear within a week LOL

The guy that did that with a ST had it fail within 6 or 7 pulls... then he said they flat out told him they cant do it to hold our ST power levels.. Maybe he can chime in.. @Sikh335 @Sikh335i ?

I spoke to level 10 and they told me they were confident that it would hold my power level ~700/600 ish but since there supposedly isnt software and i "heard" that 517 uses same parts, im not so sure i want to risk it

A guy in Lebanon i have on FB successfully made a 6MT swap. but it seems like a lot of unknowns and im not sure i want to try all that either.

Im going to be doing a 4L80e custom swap in with a 3600~ stall and transbrake.. yea i know .. Impossibru.. but we have been discussing it at length on the other forum and i know the shop can get it in there, and terry and dzenno both seem eager to help make it work on the "tuning" side. Ill def share when the car goes under the knife in January ish

Yea i've seen some conjecture over that, but we don't know what type of headroom there is on that box. I wonder if there are any 500+ WTQ diesels running around on that trans? Either way, getting that to play nice with the rest of our car sounds miserable. Would require a seriously invested owner.

I wonder how much the relatively gentle torque curve of your single helps though. Either way it seems these boxes can handle 500WTQ or so with the Alpina flash, I haven't seen many failures at that type of torque.

A high stall converter will be so nice, best of luck on that man. I gotta be honest...that sounds daunting. But if you can get it to work, you'll have the fastest N54...on earth? IDK but damn close, no one else has gotten 6AT + 700 wheel to be friends for more than a few pulls

if you let it spool like it wants to, full spool at 4400-4600 RPM, there isnt anything gentle about 550-600 plus wtq ;/ i think mine lasted so long becuz i had a bleeder style MBC for a while and i wouldnt hit my 25psi until close to redline. that limited my wtq to 500-520. but yea once i let it rip with the hallman, less than a week lol..

Yea its gonna be crazyyy if this works

You're looking in the wrong thread. Check the coding section.
