Nice. That's what I have right now. Only catless DPs installed. About to do the mod just gotta coordinate with a shop.

But Mawzi said he was having rasp with IS muffler, 2nd cat delete replaced with resonators, and catted aftermarket DPs.

Maybe the catted DPs somehow made it resonate more than catless...? Would be odd.

Most likely since the flow would be different from catless.

Here's a quick clip from a video I posted a while ago on my instagram. Excuse the quality and verbiage lol. But you get a idea of how it sounds with catless down pipes, secondary cat delete with vibrant 1792 resonators, and IS mufflers.

Not yet, I'm having my sway bar fixed on Friday 5/17 so I will probably schedule the cat delete the following week.

Nice please let me know! You are also manual transmission like me which we rumored in the other thread might be why, but I don't think as much of an impact tbh.

You will probably gets your done before me!

335is, MT
COBB catted downpipes
Vibrant 1792 in place of secondary cats
Dinan mufflers

Advantages:
Higher flow mufflers (+ couple of ponies)
Deeper/throatier tone
Bigger tips (I painted mine black)
No rasp

Disadvantages:
Less burbles and character than the IS muffler
Cost

You can hear it on YouTube, along with the other configurations I've tried.

So the Dinan exhaust has less burbles and character than our iS you're saying?

Hmmm I would assume the freer flowing exhaust would open it up more, I've had Cobb dp's and 1792's for a long time and really love it. I had the black tip Dinan on my radar...

If that's the case then it really is our muffler that is the bulk of the sound, maybe the PE really is a better choice I dunno now

Edit: sounds to me there is more character and burbles with this setup..

You're only hearing the stationary revs. I used to hear a lot more multi-dimentional sounds from the IS muffler while driving, especially at low speeds.

The Dinan is definitely throatier though. Closer to a v8 sound. I like that, but I miss the IS sound as well.

Absolutely, I'll post some vids here once everything's buttoned up. Hoping this solves our problem

Maybe everyone is not as an@l as I am? Lol.

Also, you don't hear it as much with automatic I guess.

Anyways, that's my experience. I'm 90% satisfied with my setup now.

They are 235/35R19 and 265/30R19. I might step it up to 245 and 275 next set of tires though.

You don't think you'll rub with the 275? What's your wheel offset?

Alpine white/Coral Red 6 speed, 51k miles. Pretty much everything done you can think of from single turbo kit to full m3 rear end/suspension/ twin disc clutch, driveshaft, motor mounts, double barrel shotgun kit . Cars a frankenstein of a couple different generations of cars. Can you say oem+ ?

I'm on my second IS so I know many things that are common to the car and things that are not. So in my current IS (2013 model) there is a very distinct buzzing sound from the dash or front area on low load rpms. Only audible for a few hundreds of an rpm if no music is playing or windows are not down. Anyone else had this before? Searches show it to be a common sound on the e92s and its apparently the little DME/ECU fan? But I'd like to see if anyone else has ran into this.
