Looking through this thread, some of you guys need to up your steak game:

Eye of rib, medium rare, reverse seared. Edge to edge perfection. Wife is Japanese, rice is always on the menu.

How did you cook it? Grill? Smoker? Oven? Sous vide?

Reverse seared on a Kamado Joe.

Indirect at 250 with a little hickory wood until the steak hits 120. Pull it off, remove the heat deflectors out of the kamado, drop the grates down, crank the vents wide open and let it get to 650-700. Sear 90 seconds each side, giving it a 90 degree twist at around 45 seconds. Pull it off, top with garlic butter while it rests for 5 minutes.

Gets you a perfect steak every time.

On the Weber. Heat grill to 700, 3 minutes each side. Voila!

Do you put ketchup on it too? I can understand why you rarely eat steak if you eat it well done. I'm not a big steak person like I used to be, but anything past medium-rare isn't worth eating in my humble opinion. Guessing you wouldn't like carpaccio.

I'm pretty much over "american" food at this point. It's so painfully boring. Greek/Pakistani/Indian/Thai/Sushi............I'll take that over a burger and fries, a steak, etc.

Not a fan of the raw meat inside the steak hence normal slices and you can't beat some dijon mustard next to it.I must say I don't blame you going to alternative foods...Indian and Thai, well now you're talking!

We have a fantastic Greek/Israeli place a few miles from us that was on TV a few years ago. Then have a killer Palestinian place and Thai place just down the street from my old office.

Thankfully we can get them all with Postmates if we've had a few adult beverages.
