From what I have read, the IS sounds the same or better then the PE mod.

I guess I'll leave it be... but I'm sure it's not straight pipes inside my muffler box and probably perforated. |

On another note, I finally got my resonators in last night. I haven't been able to open her up yet though, still waiting on my replacement knock sensor.

I disagree, I think our cars straight piped sounds ricey and raspy and it sounds like any other N54 out there. Its why I put a resonator and kept the mufflers on because the IS tone and even the PE tone are different then a straight pipe.

The knock sensor issue is advancing my timing and causing my AFRs to run a tad rich (~13.5), so I need to get that sorted out. Probably not helping the smell.

My buddy has a 328i I think it's straight pipe and I've never heard a car sound this good. It's crazy how good it sounds I can't believe it. Quote:

Posting here since maybe it's a IS issue... ppl with rear diffusers does it fit wrong/with a gap or is it probably just my diffuser quality the problem?

Most of the time carbon parts have to be "adjusted" to make them fit good. Who is the manufacturer?

For my Arkym front lip, I had to push really hard to flex it into place and drive screws through it.

Oil Leaks ?
My car is very low mileage, ie., under 28k, but several months ago I noticed an oil leak and upon inspection, it appeared to be coming from the oil pan. I took it into the dealer who told me that it would cost $2500 to repair. Whatever the dealer did the car has not leaked since. I did not have the repair done and paid about $165 for the inspection, but the leak has stopped. What oil leaks if any have you had with this car?

Anyone replace their headlight washer covers? I looked inside and dont see the washer, unless the whole thing popped out with the cover. I bought a new cover on ebay but no idea how to attach it aside from glueing it on.

Anyone replace their xenon low beams? Mine seem pretty yellow, my 2009 pre-LCI xenons were more white than these.

I think I'm going to replace mine soon, I need to get in there anyway to make some final adjustments on my coilovers now that they're basically done settling.

Sup everyone, I think I'm in the right place.
Checking in with my new 2011 Mineral white / coral red with the DCT. Previous owners weren't exactly the caring type, so I've got some work to do (carbon spoiler/misc minor body damages and all 4 wheels lightly curbed) Luckily the interior was kept basically mint. Please don't ask about the LEDs, I have no idea either. |
