Hi everyone, I just made a new account and since I can't create a new thread yet I figured I'd ask here first if that's ok.

I was currently shopping around for an e92 335i. But I came across a 2007 e90 335i - 6 speed Mt - navigation - dakota leather - harman kardon logik 7 sound - dinan exhaust - 13,888 + taxes.

My question is, before I go and check out this vehicle, can someone tell me what problems I should be looking for? And from your experience, how well is the 335i in terms of maintenance and drive-ability in snow?

Any feedback/help/opinions are greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

There are giant Sticky threads in the General AND N54 (335i) section that explain your questions in depth. Read up on it.

Great forum, just signed up, been lurking for a while. Shopping for E90/91 wagon in the fall - wish me luck finding a std. transm.

Everyone, have a great BMW summer.

I bought the same size in mpss from disocunt tires at Steeles and keele. I shopped around and he gave me the lowest price for the set.

Hey guys, i'm looking for some tires right now and i'm wondering what the max size I can run for both rear and front? Going to go to 19s and might lower the car in the future. You guys recommend going up to a maximum of 265 in the back or even up to 275?

Unless your willing to roll the arches. Best bet is 235/35/19 front & 265/30/19 rear. IMO

Simply Tires will help you out with the best set up for your car.

Pfaff "As Is" collection

Hey all,

I wanted to share a good experience I had at Pfaff BMW.

We were looking for a second car, and I stumbled upon Pfaff's As-Is collection. They basically sell older trade-in's as-is with no certification. What you see is what you get. I managed to get a 2 owner 2008 328xi 6MT for a very good price.

The car had a check engine light on and they told me it was an O2 sensor. I checked it with my scan tool and verified that the B2 S1 sensor was bad. After an extensive test drive, I realized the car was very well maintained, and that it would need little to nothing for safety. They sold me the car on a T-tag, I took it for a safety, and it passed with flying colours. As an added bonus, the car wasn't due for emissions for another year, so that wasn't a problem for registration. I did fix the O2 sensor a few days ago. There are a few cosmetic issues as you might expect, but I'm parking this thing on the street so I don't really care.

I am not affiliated with Pfaff in any way, but I wanted to share so people know this is a great way to buy an older BMW that a dealer would normally just send to auction. It is a win-win for everyone...Pfaff gets a little more than they would at auction and pays no auction fees, and you (hopefully!) get a decent car before it goes to one of those sketchy "buy here - pay here" lots.

Another bonus- you can put up to $5,000 of the purchase on a credit card which is nice if you are collecting points.

As with everything in life, YMMV. I think this is a good program for those of us that like to do our own work.

You kinda sound affiliated based on your rep count.....but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
Stealerships are sketchy too....just much easier on the eyes and their sh!t stench is masked by money beautification.
Nice car,so how much did you pay for it?

Similar story for me but from Parkview BMW, 2007 328i - as is collection. Only 104,000 km, with PS noise but it seems that it was only low on fluid. Great buying experience, same deal with the $5000 that can be put on credit card. Right rear window regulator failed on the way home during rainstorm on 401, but as expected from as is with some curb rash and one small dent in front quarter. Did you pay a dealer admin fee? More can be read here:

I'd like to join the group for a meet in the spring, here is the original pics of the car, it needs an exterior detail next. Been focusing on the huge learning curve of the mechanics and detailing the interior.

WE also went with Pfaff - overall quite happy, but surprised at how the add-ons added on.

Seems like this forum is pretty dead, but still want to try and get a response..what do yall run your MHD temp targets at? stock, or lower?

Seems like lower is better, but there are drawbacks (increased wear on water pump, decreased fuel economy). Since we are in a colder climate, should I bother with changing the temp from stock?

Haven't been actively on this forum for awhile but with literally a few posts this year guess I haven't missed much. That being said here's a hail Mary of a request for anyone who is in here. Hoping anyone that may come across this post can either direct to me to or has experience/knowledge to code my CIC iDrive retrofit I just completed?

Generally, I would do these types of things myself but been having a tough time finding a reliable and quality source to download NCS Expert without either having to pay some suspicious site or use a VPN to download files over 5GB. Thanks in advance.
