He certainly is. In fact last time I saw him was at GTI International. And the only time I'm aware of that he deviated from VAG was when he got that Cayman and he ended up getting carjacked.
I had a feeling if you were Manchester way and on the trains you'd know him. |

Recognise both usernames, didn't Josh have his own polo website then I'm sure he moved onto a Fabia?
I have tried going on a few times since I sold up but it's safe to say the landscape has changed a bit. Some old faces were still there though, marriedblond, mikedav etc Here was the cars I had at the time, a 1.4 then a 1.8T. They were relevant to the trends at the time haha. |

He certainly did. http://uk-polos.net/ He's still got it but I think leaves the running to others. After the Fabia he had an A4 and now he's in an E46 M3. I moved from an Octavia RS to an A3, a Saab and then into an E91 that broke. Currently in an F30. I'm still partial to a tasfully done MKIV though
Anyway, funny how you bump into people. In fact marriedblonde is on here occasionally. |

i send containers of alcohol around the world, like the petrol tankers but mine contain 26,000lts of vodka, malt whisky, wine, rum etc
so if you on a night out with a Jack Daniels in hand, sitting on the beach with a southern comfort or at home with a bottle of wine, we moved it haha |

Some interesting careers in here!
I'm at uni studying mechanical engineering, currently on placement year working for a company that use to specialise in lifting gear, but now specialises in installations and servicing of wind turbines. Not on sites though, I'm in the office.

hi, i am in need of dire help. yesterday i was going to buy an 07 plate 320d se coupe. im 20 years old and was getting quotes for insurance in london for 2500. all was well was going to purchase the car from a trade garage, moments from making payment for the car the offered to do a diagnostic check before it left the courtyard and it came up with the error DPF diesel particulate filter. this made me very worried and leading me to walk away from the deal to think further on the topic. with some research it turns out that some people get the dpf removed completely for around 450 plus an ecu remap. also my other question is that i only do about 50 miles a week how much would it cost me in diesel weekly ? wanted to compare as i had a 2003 fiesta previously and the mpg figures were so terrible for a 1.4 and the running costs for a 2.0 litre diesel really put me off but looking further on other peoples post, i see some people getting around 45 mpg when in the fiesta i was getting around 35-40. please get back to me about the dpf issue and if i should have bought the motor or not im so gutted to let it go it was a space grey colour with deep dish bbs alloys at 7000 pounds. I am new to this forum and i cannot find the post thread option so sorry if i have posted this in the wrong place

DPF delete will need a friendly MOT centre who will turn a blind eye, as it is now illegal.
A new DPF will be around £1500 fitted. A 320d will see about 30 maybe 35mpg doing sub 10 mile journeys round town. Maybe slightly less in winter. But if you are only doing 50 miles a week does mpg really matter? The fact you are paying £2500 on insurance really does make it a non issue surely? Even at 30mpg that is only £12 a week in fuel. Get something that does 60mpg and that will save you £6 a week? Considering the upkeep of a BMW, depreciation and insurance your fuel bill is pretty irrelevant imho. For 50 miles a week I wouldn't consider a diesel, the difference in mpg will be minimal and the upkeep is far higher, wiping out any savings, and you have the issue of short rev range which makes changing gear a pain and hard work. If you were going auto the mpg on the 320d could be as low as 25 round town. Also, this is in the wrong place, maybe a mod will move it for you? |
